Attending a flight school and finishing the training is not an easy task, especially for foreign students. There are so many additional factors involved. I had a dream of becoming a pilot since I was 15 and choosing the right school all around the world was full of chaos. I visited many different schools, called them, and looked through every website. Pacific Rim had an impression on me at first call, I was offered to visit the campus, have a discovery flight, and then decide.I was given a very friendly and joyful learning environment by the effort of everyone working here. I just finished my Private Pilot training and working towards CPL now. All the instructors are very professional and ready to help me with any questions I have. My instructor Vish has been a great source of inspiration consistency and patience. Masa the chief instructor Victor and the dispatch team had shown me the sense of professionalism and dedication. They not only teach you how to fly a plane, but set you up for success in every aspect related to aviation. Thank you all!
I had fantastic experience briefly interacting with Pacific Rim Aviation, staff are friendly and accommodating, instructor Vish is knowledgeable and enthusiastic. For those interested in starting flight lessons, I suggest you visit the office in-person to get a feeling of how professional they are.
I recently attended Pacific Rim and it was an amazing experience. The instructors were knowledgeable and passionate, making the learning process enjoyable. The facilities were top-notch, with well-maintained aircraft and classrooms. Safety was a priority, and the school had a strong emphasis on responsible flying. The supportive atmosphere and well-structured curriculum made it a rewarding journey. I highly recommend this academic school to anyone interested in aviation.
I first came to Pacific Rim Aviation when I was 12 years old, my older brother was doing his doing his commercial training after having completed his Private Pilot's licence with the academy, he has now moved onto WestJet. Fast forward 9 years I started my training and a year later I am where my brother was at, being in the process of doing my commercial license. When first looking for a flight school I was nervous of which one to choose, I did my fair bit of looking around, not wanting to choose the wrong one lol. In the end I found Pacific Rim was the best choice and the most transparent one. I have made many friends and memories along the way, my instructor Vish is like a second brother to me having taught me so much. I met Masa the CFI when I was little, he has remained exemplary and a fair coach throughout the process of my training. I have been meaning to make a review for a while, but it was hard to get a moment to sum up my journey so far lol. Hopefully this has helped!
This is one of the reviews that you wished you could leave no stars.nThere was nothing about this place to deserve one. After written and telephone conversation with them explaining I needed pilot in common time to keep my license current they failed. Even when I arrived I told them again I needed some solo flight time and was told there would be no problem after the check out. Doing the preflight check out in their 50 year old Cessna that would not stop dripping gas from the wing fuel drain. I went up and preform their check ride with no problem but upon returning to the airport I was told that the instructor was not qualified to check me out for solo flight and that I would need to come back next week. They had no problem taking my money and wasting my time with condescending attitude. I quickly realized I needed to find a professional flight school and found one that day in Abbotsford. I was trying to stay local but soon found it was worth the drive.
