Montair Aviation

About

Committed to excellence in training and performance.

Story

Montair Aviation has an experienced team of flight instructors, committed to providing students with specialized high quality training through all aspects of their aviation training. All of our instructors are required to maintain a high level of proficiency through ongoing re-currency training.

Over its long history, Montair has built a reputation of excellence with the world’s airlines because of its professional approach to training. We are committed to ensuring graduates are not only proficient aviators, but are also employable pilots. Advanced multi-crew training conducted on our turbine powered King Air C90 aircraft will streamline the student’s transition into the airline industry.

The school does not compromise on safety with standardized procedures in place to ensure all students are trained above Transport Canada and Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) requirements.

Due to Montair’s specialized training program, students are offered not only knowledge and experience in general aviation practices, but also in airline policies and procedures. As a result, graduates may be found globally for such employers as Air Canada, WestJet, Cathay Pacific, China Southern Airlines, Air China, and the Royal Canadian Air Force and are able to advance to increasingly senior roles quickly.

Montair’s Airline Training Program ensures you receive the highest quality training available on the market today.

My name is Blair Bertrand I worked at Montair for just over 3 months as the ramp attendant. So just a quick idea on how these guys operate within my first week Jenny in HR told me that they think Mark (one of my supervisors and trainer) is lazy and they don't think he does anything and that they might have a position opening up to be Marks supervisor... This is after one week! On my three month review I was told by Jenny in HR (who is of Korean decent) that my other supervisor Koh (who is a Japanese man) said I was rude and arrogant. Shocked I asked why he thought that they told me "We don't agree with what he said, we think he thinks that you come off arrogant because you are white and you're a big guy." I said how is that fair, then they proceeded to tell me and I quote "you are basically dead to Koh." And that they are bending over backwards to keep me and that I need to mend my relationship with Koh or I am terminated. They extended my 3 month probation another 3 months on the condition that if I do even the slightest thing wrong I would be fired. I chose to stick it out and try to do my best to make it work. I had been working a steady schedule I was there on time every single day 6am to get the hangar open and the Seneca out for the first flight. Mark my other supervisor was working later shifts. He would show up when ever he wanted from 9am-1030am. He decided he wanted my shift, after a month of not being on time and sleeping in the back maintenance room. So Koh came to me and told me you're shift is now 11am-7pm I said to him I am on a good schedule right now and would appreciate to stay on the shift I have. He got a big smug smile and said "that's too bad is there gonna be a problem?" Knowing I'm on thin ice I said no. I was obviously mad so I didn't show up to any more shifts and they terminated me. That's my story with Montair I hope this deters you from working there. Save yourself the headache take your assets to someone who will value and appreciate you.
