Drawn in by the vintage look, this shop has some tasty treats for all. Locally owned, too, 'Mom' was even helping out 'Daughter' with some last minute touches to the chocolate bombs. A great layout, you can pick feom vintage candy and to the delicious shakes rhey prepare right before your eyes. Also, I snagged some great stocking stuffers for my aunts with the scented wax. If you can make it a stop before you leave town, it's well worth it!
This place has the best hamburgers in town! Especially at seven dollars a burger. The quality reminds me of Five Guys, but you don’t have to drive three hours to get 5 Guys and this place is a little more affordable. I have not tried the grilled cheese sandwiches, but I understand those are amazing also. The service is always good here and their ice cream treats are second to none. I understand that the reason their food is so good is that one of the owners went to culinary arts school.
This place is so wonderful if you have kids or a date night. The people who work here are just absolutely Lovely and so sweet. The food is FANTASTIC AND SO REASONABLY priced!! I highly recommend coming here. I can't wait to come back and have some amazing grub with outstanding service!!! Sweetest folks run this place, just so wholesome.
This place is wonderful. The staff is always kind and the treats are always sweet. My husband loves the cherry soda icecream, and I love the strawberry soda icecream. I've also had a strawberry phosphate and it was beautiful. They use actual fruit for their ingredients, not just flavoring, and that makes all the difference. You can get it to-go. They currently do not have seating inside the shop, but there are Covid spaces tables and chairs just outside the doors.
We were visiting from Seattle, so we visited OWL twice in two days. I noticed that some reviews said the service was bad, but we had great service both times. The prices were average, but the quality and scoop size was above average. : OWL's window has a sticker claiming they are a bike friendly business and that definitely seems to be true. There is a ton of bike parking right outside the walk-up window, and it's not just your standard setup. There is a bike repair station with a repair stand and a vending machine that contained a variety of essentials, including tubes, bars/gels, energy drinks, CO2, etc. There are also two bike shops in the immediate vicinity. We stopped in Cycle Central and were thoroughly impressed by their store setup and friendly service. They serve Umpqua ice cream here, and it was delicious. The flavors on the menu were all pretty normal, but there was a pretty long list so you're sure to find one that you like. Over the two days, my wife and I got a banana split and two brownie sundaes. They were large and hit the spot after a long ride on a hot summer day. The brownie sundae came with a huge brownie, but there was actually too much sauce for my tastes. There was not a lot of seating, but we were able to find a table and a high chair both times. They have a cool, old-fashioned bar as expected, but it just won't work for small children. Since they have a gift shop too, I think it will be really cramped when they get busy. There is a bathroom in the first floor of the building. It's locked, so ask one of the OWL employees for the key. The bathroom did not have baby changing tables.
Massive scoops of ice cream that are quite tasty. Fun dessert place to bring the kids and people watch. This place will cure your sugar cravings.
Great place to go to slow down and enjoy some simple treats and eats. They have sundaes and sodas like a lemon lime sour. Cheeseburgers and wraps and few more options. The kids loved sitting on the stools at the counter. They also have a window to order from if you just want a quick grab while your walking around downtown.
Best milkshakes in town. Place has been around forever and is a classic.
I wish everyone could visit the same “Owl Drug and Soda Fountain “, that my children enjoyed when they were growing up, but you don’t want to miss this little gem across from the beautiful water fountain corner, of Wenatchee Avenue. The ice cream treats have not changed! And the same staff is mostly still there. Amazing people! Drop in!
My Nutmeg Soda was great! Friendly staff and throwback to the days of sharing a delicious dessert with friends and family. Small town charm.
