Our Flames Restaurant & Lounge

Came for a late lunch and was wowed. Great atmosphere and service, cool decor, great menu options and they even let us order from dinner menu so we could get some steaks! We got 2 NY strips Rare plus, cooked to perfection. Great quality of meat, great flavor, and extremely filling. I was very happy about finding this place and highly recommend.

We stopped in for lunch on our way home today and were very happy! Great wings, food, and service! Will definitely stop here again!

Probably the best restaurant you will find between Calgary and Red Deer! The lounge ambiance is contemporary and artful. The owner is passionate about good food and it shows; he uses quality local ingredients and takes the time and patience to prepare it right! I can't say enough about the slow-smoked brisket beef dip. The best I've ever had! The menu has lots of variety and the prices are very reasonable. You need to eat here!

Had drinks and dinner in lounge on St. PATRICKS evening. Wine very expensive for quality. Enjoyed haddock and husband had steak sandwich. Both meals came with fries and I guess we got dregs of the fries. Made for an expensive and not entirely quality meal. Maybe just too busy! Parking: No problem finding parking.

Just finished dinner at Our Flames. The service was ok although the waiter brought my son the wrong dish so they brought us what he originally ordered. It took a very long time to get our food and when we did it really wasn't very good. I ordered the chicken Neptune and it had old canned crab on top of over cooked chicken on a bed of what I can only assume was asparagus in some distant past. The asparagus was overcooked and very dry. The hollandaise sauce and crab was so unpleasant I scraped it off. In the end they charged us for the wrongly ordered dish. I'm really not a fan of paying for others mistakes. I'm excited to see what kind of response I get to this review. Some of the responses I've seen here are unbelievable.

Food is always great here, the service is hit and miss but mostly good overall. Our Flames have VLTs which is a good addition, reason for 3 stars since I can’t put 3.5 is the beer. no bottles of beer and everything on tap is gross.Recommended dishesWings, Chicken Rice Bowl, Chicken Wings, Tagliata Black Garlic Steak, Smoked Brisket Beef Dip, Burger, Lasagna Supreme, Fish and Chips

Well they didn't have my preferred choice of libation, however our server Brittany claimed to make a mean Long Island iced tea from scratch. Which happens to be my all time favorite if made right. Brittany did not disappoint so if you have time for one stop in they are awesome. I only rated it 4 stars for not having my coolers . Food is always good at the Flames

Went to our flames for my birthday with 4 adults and 3 kids. Ordered 3 appetizers and a meal for everyone. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING besides one appetizer and my daughters mashed potatoes were cold. The bun on my sandwich felt like it had been sat by an open window, the lasagna was cold in a cast iron dish you could pick it up and hold the bottom for an extended period of time never having to put it down because it was that cooled. We had been there for 2 hours before receiving our food. We were not asked once for refills on our drinks and did not have cutlery. As well as our appetizer of garlic fingers with a piece taken out. We ended up leaving with only the children sort of eating because they were so hungry we took our meals to go and probably won’t even end up eating them. They did say they were busy and short staffed … fair but if you looked around they were not busy. What I’m mostly upset about is how they handled the matter they said they would give a discount… on a 200$ they were offering 30$ off… their staff discount. I even asked if I were to leave all the food uneaten on the table they would still make me pay? She said there is nothing more she could do. I said I know there is more and I would still be dissatisfied with 50% off. We did in the end receive a 50% discount but I feel that was not very accommodating. I am so disappointed how they handled this. The only reason I have given 2 stars instead of 1 is because I have enjoyed the service and food in the past. In response: I was understanding yes but I was not happy, heating up the food wasn’t even offered. Now you are slandering me saying I always complain for discounts? Your bold face lies speak for themselves. Do you think this makes you look good? I never complain I went with my family for my birthday because I was ranting and raving about your food and was thoroughly disappointed that we couldn’t even eat it. You don’t need to ask me to not return as I would not give you my business after your response and seeing your response to other reviews that are anything but raving. What a terrible way to treat the community! Completely embarrassing. Your staff was nice yes but I hope they don’t get treated like some of your unsatisfied customers do.
