Delicious Japanese and French style pastries baked fresh daily! Chef Angie was teaching cooking lessons at the Kanata Superstore a few years back. She finally decided to pursue her passion for baking and opened this new bakery right in Kanata. Her treats are made daily, using only premium ingredients and modified recipes that are healthy, not too sweet but extremely scrumptious nonetheless. Some of her treats that I absolutely LOVE are Napoleon, Square bread with light cream cheese, blueberry scones, macarons and almond croissants. I never eat Macaron because it's way too sweet for my taste, but the Macarons at Oui8 Bakery has a nice blend of caramel and cream flavour, great with a cup of afternoon tea. The menu is changing constantly as she's trying out new delicacies, but be sure to check out her website or call before coming to avoid disappointment. Her treats go out FAST.
Very tasty bakery off Hazeldean. They have seasonal delights that are delicious and not overly sweet, specifically the blueberry cheesecake was really nicely done. The raspberry and peach tarts are also perfect as you only need a bite which make it the perfect sharing snack with your significant other.
Our is great to find a gem like this in your neighborhood! The coffee, I had an Americano, and the chocolate croissant were just delicious and the price was very fair. I would pick this place instead of any other coffee place in this area.
Pretty disapointing to drive all the way out here based on hours of operation posted and come to see the place closed 5 hours before usual time......
I have been trying to find a good bakery for some time. I am so happy I found this place today. I bought a baguette which was very fresh and had a great taste. I also bought a small 2 bite lemon butter tart which was delicious and not too sweet. They had a nice selection of pastries including scones, croissants, cinnamon buns & cookies. Had a lovely chat to the friendly and welcoming gentleman behind the counter We need more shops like this one with products made fresh on the premises. This has made my day to find a little taste of Europe.
I’ve tried so many delicious things here and every one of them was a winner. I always make a stop when I’m back in Ottawa and bring some on the train with me to share with my friends. The best thing about her baked goods is that they aren’t cloyingly sweet. I much prefer her icing to the boxed cakes at any grocery. The selection changes a little so watch out for the carrot cake amazingly dense, cheese buns, and rotating macaron flavours!
The best cup of coffee in the neighbourhood. We bought a variety of things and all of the baked goods have been awesome. The mini croissant and oatmeal chocolate cookie have been the stand out favourites. They just opened up their patio and I am so excited to relax and try the bubble tea and cinnamon buns.
Your recommendation was perfect. Both Cindy's birthday cake and the cupcakes were absolutely phenomenal. Everybody loved them and were asking were we got it. We had no cake or cupcakes left by the end of the evening, which is the way you want it to be! So thank you very much for your help on making Cindy's birthday such a success! You guys do Great Cake!
I have been really enjoying different pastries from Oui8 Bakery since it opened in May. Every product was just so flavorful, finger licking good. Just thinking of them make me mouth watering. It's definitely my first place to go for pastries cravings.
This is definitely my favourite Kanata bakery, their pastries are delicious but not too sweet. And they have a great selection of French and Asian style deserts. I especially love their napoleon Mille Feuille pastries! They are so flakey and crispy with a deliciously smooth light custard filling. Absolutely scrumptious! I would definitely recommend you visit early though, as some of their best treats can sell out before the end of the day.
