Otten Todd R MD

Being 46 years old and having lived in a lot of places, I can say I can't recall having a better physician. Dr. Otten is patient, compassionate, a good listener and quite knowledgeable. When I leave his office I feel as though I was as much a part of my treatment as he was. It is funny how we say we are "seen" by a doctor, when it is the conversation I have with Dr. Otten that always makes me feel much better.

DR OTTEN IS A REAL GOOD KIND AND COMPASSIONET DOCTOR. THE STAFF IS NOT RUDE !! Wow only two bad opinions of him. He is not like what those opinions say!! Be glad to have a caring Doctor such as Doctor Otten. Good luck finding a better one to take you!! He has been my Doctor for 6 YEARS now!! I should know!! Great staff and doctor!

On disability and had pain in right arm; had to go out of my way to get the proper diagnoses because he did not care about the pain in my arm and when I went to the ER at HGB for the same pain and to get an answer what was causing the pain the ER Physician on Duty said the Dr Otten told him not to do anything about the pain in my arm. I just got certified in Travel and wanted to get off disability and I lost this job as a Travel Consultant with Expedia due to not being able work, so I went to the ER in Kalamazoo and they took X-Rays and was told arthritis was pressing a nerve and referred me to a R hematologist and Spine Center. Now, just started working and again new pains and up all night due to pain waking me up and I ran out of pain pills due to taking meds at night and during the day and trying to work without any sleep and Dr got upset that I was taking at night too which of course left me short. 3 months with same pain just barely able to keep focused during the day due to not able to sleep and got my MRI results: Bulging Disk, Protruding Disk, Arthritis and Hip impingement, and I had to take pain meds ONE TIME ONLY from my Sister which is in her end stage of Cancer and felt so very bad asking her, so I can get some sleep and also very allergic to the pain patch but I was DESPERATE to get out of pain and being a walking zombie during the day due no sleep I did not care if I broke out in hives, I am sooo tired and cant even focus When I lay on either side of my body the pain shoots and I have to try sleep in an upright position. I look like a raccoon from no sleep and just barely working because I want so very bad to get off of disability and my life back. Staff is very rude; I wouldn't take any of my rescued animals to HGB. Had problems with another Doctor there too. So, he cut me off of my Norcos which is not a problem because obviously not working and praise the Lord I have appt with the same Specialist that blocked my nerve in my arm, which should of been addressed three months ago! I just want so very very very much to lay down and sleep all night and to sit at a desk and work. It has been three months of HELL and no one should go through three months of undesirable pain, sleepless nights and when I asked his nurse practitioner which one of the four were causing the pain at night her professional reply was, "I don't know, I'm not a Doctor". Which of course I was well aware that she was not my physician.

Doctor Otten is responsive, kind, understanding, and competent. His partners and him keep a flexible schedule to allow for same day appointments. They too are professional and responsive.

Dr is rude don't like that other DR's don't agree with him and want other testing that has been asked for. Asked for over 2 years. He will blame everything in weight. I can't wait until the testing comes back with what's really going on. Finally got a Dr that cares about people not image.. That sure wasn't at this office. I feel bad for the people that work for them.. horrible service
