We Love Insects!

Ottawa Insectarium is an FUN and unique visitor attraction. It is a great place to learn about insects from butterflies to tarantulas! Visitors will have the opportunity to see preserved as well as live insects and interact with them.

We also have a full gift shop to purchase unique items including our famous insect candy :-)

The Insectarium is a great visit for families as well as other groups.

Great place. Very informed staff made it interesting. Lots of different bugs to hold- which is really fun. The gift shop is fun with lots of 'bug' snacks. Lots of cool stuff to learn and look at. I would go again and I would recommend going. Great for kids but we are two grown adults that had a fantastic time.
It was absolutely fabulous. Very up close and personal with stick bugs, spiders, scorpions, cockroaches, too many to list here. Super knowledgeable guide and plenty of exhibits. Small place but loaded with exotic varieties of insects from all over the planet. We'll definitely go back to see more.

We've gone here twice and got the Gentleman that owns the collection. He is remarkable with young kids and has a genuine love of what he does. Great experience.
I would rate higher but for such a small place they charged a lot to go in there. They need a better family rate then they might draw more in. The staff were very friendly but need to be more knowledgeable on the displays they have in the insectarium.

You can literally hold and touch anything and everything that is not poisonous. Kids love it.
Ok the owner is super great and helped my 5 year old feel comfortable letting bugs and lizards climb on him. Kind of expensive for a small exhibit but certainly worth checking out if you have a few extra bucks and want a very personalized experience. Great collection of insects and lizards. Cool candy with bugs in it.
This was an all around incredible experience. I learned so much and was treated to a personal tour by the owner! Thoroughly impressed. Such a great way to spend time in Ottawa. Thank you so much Felix and staff! I'm a bug lover at last :
