The Orpheum Tour is a must-do for any Vancouverite wanting to discover some of our City's majestic history. This 90-minute behind-the-scenes exploration of the Orpheum, the Grand Old Lady of Granville Street—a storied concert hall that has managed to survive the vagaries of Vancouver's fickle nightlife, is genuinely fascinating. Our guide, Rob Haynes, gave an entertaining and often impassioned peek into the history of the building and its place not just in the local entertainment scene but in the grand old days of vaudeville. You'll explore areas few have trod and discover things about Vancouver's heritage that we overlook at our peril.
Stunning architecture and a great location. Good seating as well. Most places are accessible. Elevator is available for upper floors. Clean restrooms. Surrounded by many restaurants within walking distance. But parking is not available. Recommend public transportation.
Awesome, old but glorious arts venue. Sound—at least for an orchestra—is superb. I grabbed a late seat near the upper balcony at the back and could hear every detail of a spectacular performance of Britten’s violin concerto before a packed—and rapt—audience.
Absolutely beautiful venue. Within walking distance of food, bars, hotels, entertainment and more. The acoustics are awesome. Sat in the lower balcony and the sound was amazing. Had an issue with the app and had printed tickets within a few minutes. Loved the show.
