We had a fantastic experience at the Orpheum Concert Hall in Vancouver for my daughter’s choir concert featuring Christmas songs! The venue is absolutely stunning, with its beautiful architecture and warm atmosphere. The acoustics were perfect, allowing every note to resonate beautifully, especially with the impressive Wurlitzer organ featured during the performance. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our visit smooth and enjoyable. It was a memorable night filled with wonderful music and holiday spirit. I highly recommend the Orpheum for any concert—it’s a special place that adds magic to every performance!
Obviously a building this old would be completely incredibly beautiful, acoustics top notch, and have intimate seating. It really is just an ideal place to see your favorite music. What else can I say?nIf I was to be picky... it needs to be more accessible to people with mobility needs. If they fix that issue though it ruins the history of this place by modifying it... I will allow a pass to keep it how it is.. it's that beautiful.
I recently attended a concert at the Orpheum, and it was a fantastic experience! The venue has a unique charm with its historic architecture and beautiful interior design. The acoustics were excellent, allowing every note to resonate perfectly throughout the space. The seating was comfortable, and despite being an older theater, the views from most seats were unobstructed.nnOverall, Orpheum is a great venue for music lovers who appreciate both sound quality and a bit of history. I look forward to attending more events here in the future!
I love this venue BUT pro tip for concert-goers…nnThis venue is beautiful and I always have a good time here, but I recently went to a concert here and was disappointed that I wasn’t able to see the performer when he was near the very front of the stage which was a large portion of the time as he was dancing. When we were all standing, I could not see past the heads of people in the first few rows of the balcony! They weren’t especially tall and I’m not especially short; I think the incline of the balcony is just not sufficient, and the artist is standing too close to the front of the stage. I was sitting in the Lower Balcony Right Centre, Row 9 see image - I’m the green dot. The videos included were me using my phone to record to be able to see past those heads ‍↕nnI’ve been to multiple concerts and events at this venue and have never had this problem when sitting. Not sure if this problem is better or worse the further back you go…but just thought I would warn others to pick your seats wisely!
Orpheum is a beautiful place, where architecture met the art. The interior reminds on cathedrals with beautiful ceiling arts and wall ornaments. The acoustics were not so great though but it could be due to the sound system.nOverall, a place worth to be seen.
