Always a treat to visit this gorgeous feast for the eyes historical venue. Very impressed by their concert set-up ... the acoustics were excellent. The ushers were friendly and helpful. The seats were comfy. Always love returning time after time to the Orpheum.
The Orpheum Theater is a beautifully designed venue with stunning architecture and a great atmosphere. The sound system was excellent—clear and powerful, making the experience even more enjoyable. The management was also outstanding, ensuring everything ran smoothly. A truly impressive place for any performance!
We had tickets to see the VSO perform the music of Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone as we watched the movie. It had been quite a long time since we last been to one of these performances.nnThe Orpheum is a beautiful venue and we like seeing performances there. It has an old world charm and reminds us of a bygone era.nnBefore the performance we had a great dinner at Rogue. There was a very short lineup to enter then we found our seats. We were in the balcony near the back with the first 4 seats next to the aisle. There were many people already seated and it appeared to be sold out.nnTo enjoy the show we ordered 2 bags of popcorn, 1 bag of sour candy, 2 water & 1 7up. You can watch a movie without snacks!nnThe movie with the symphony was so much better and took it to another level. The musicians were excellent! The seats were cramped and both my wife and I have knee problems so at intermission we switched and she had the aisle seat. Our boys found it hard as well as they are 6’2” and 6’3”. We were happy to leave for our knees sake but overall really enjoyed the performance!
I’ve visited this theatre twice already. My first visit was for a graduation ceremony, and the venue was perfect for such a momentous occasion. My second visit was to attend Myles Smith's concert, and it was an unforgettable experience! The staff were friendly and accommodating, making the evening enjoyable from start to finish.
The Orpheum is a beautiful venue. I have always enjoyed watching performances here - the atmosphere and acoustics are terrific. This location is also so well kept despite being one of the oldest venues in Vancouver. I hope they will be able to maintain the orpheum to enjoy for generations to come. :nnThe staff are also so patient, kind, and courteous; always improves the experience!
