​Oriental Centre currently offers a somber shopping experience. Once a bustling community hub, it is now noticeably quiet with a high number of shuttered shops and vacant units. The lack of foot traffic creates a hollow atmosphere, and many of the remaining businesses are specialized niche services rather than general retail.n​While it is no longer a destination for a full afternoon of shopping, it remains useful for those visiting specific, long-standing tenants like the food court or specialized doctors' offices. For most, however, it serves more as a quiet shortcut than a vibrant commercial center
Sells genuine honey straight from the farms. Large variety of honey. I got Blueberry honey, Buckwheat and Lemon honey.
An Asian shopping mall that's kind of dead. Older people seem to like to come here. It feels like the majority of stores here are Chinese herbal stores there's like 6 of them that I counted. Mostly filled with Chinese/Asian stores.nnThe hallways are wide. There's the main area where a stage sits. There seems to be 3 floors, with escalators going up and down. The washrooms are tucked away in a small hallway. The washrooms are clean and rather spacious.nnRegarding the 6 Chinese herbal goods stores, it's great for the customers to shop, since each store will try to get more customers in by being cheaper than the other... It's bad for the stores since they're fighting for customers and killing each other with their prices.nnOther than that, they blast the air conditioning here. It's nice and cool inside all around.
Oriental Centre might seem like a dead mall, but for some, it's a rather decent place to hang around. Many people don't necessarily need to shop in person for Chinese imported goods anymore, but that store was probably the busiest. The tour companies offer a fair price for their services as well.
Nice Asian shops. There are various Chinese herbal store and also Filipino products... Lots of parking.. very close to 401 and the Scarborough Town Center. I think due to pandemic lots of stores are still close. I love the milk tea shops at lower cost compared to others.
