My recent experience with Opus’ framing services far exceeded all my expectations. From Joe at the front counter who booked my appointment and patiently answered my questions, to Danielle who took all the measurements and assisted in putting everything together. She even made several recommendations such as the use of plexiglass in place of traditional glass and a DIY finish that could be applied to the existing frame. These greatly improved the overall quality of the finished product. Both staff were clearly incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience quick, easy and enjoyable. Thank you!
I'm so over Opus. The staff have always been really nice but I'm tired of being jerked around with their lack of products and supply. It just keep happening over and over... Their website has products listed which I buy online to pick up in store only to find the products discontinued. Or I've gone into store Coquitlam to speak with the framing department only to be told no one from framing is in... maybe Thursday. Maybe. With their overpriced items and spotty supplies at best, I'm done. So done. They've become so completely unreliable.
Super helpful staff and relatively cheap prices for frames for your art/maps although you'll have to build the frame there - the staff will help you though! Will come back if I need another custom frame created!
Opus has the best staff help for small projects. We booked a time and came in with two small canvasses to be stretched. The staff person was amazing with my two daughters! Kind, helpful, soothing...like Bob Ross. Great deal for the 8x14 frame. For two, under $30. Plus they had all the tools to put it together. I’m not sure if this is normal service but he went way above our expectations. Definitely will be back again for our next project. Thank you!

A wider selection than the location in harbour centre. Very friendly staff, lots of great supplies to grab! Prices are reasonable.
Had a strange / disturbing experience here - staff member was creepily staring at my 8 year old while he was testing pens at the designated pen testing area. There was a paper with lots of drawing and doodles, and pens left out to try. I realized she was annoyed with him when she began removing the pens he tried one by one. I told my son to stop testing because she was seemed very angry. Maybe she wanted us to buy the pen? We would have done that if she wasn’t so rude and aggressive. We left all of the art supplies we drove down to get, and quickly left the store. As an art teacher for 15 years, it’s disappointing that this overpriced art store is not welcoming to children. Please put up a sign that says “we do not welcome children here” to avoid this unpleasant experience for others.
Super helpful/friendly staff, even when we couldn't find everything I needed. The student discount is the best thing ever and made the purchase much easier on my wallet. The store was pretty expanse in terms of variety and selection, but did not have an easy labeling/categorizing method - making the store a little hard to navigate at times. Overall a good experience here on my quest for art supplies.
Unreliable shipping. They told me they had the product in the store, available for shipping but in my follow up two weeks later, told me they no longer had stock, yet hadn’t bothered to let me know, or initiate a refund.
A wonderful place to shop and try out new art products. It has the best selection of art supplies that you can find anywhere
