I highly recommend booking an appointment with Monika, the clinic is clean the services are fairly priced and she was super knowledgeable about the products and gave me loads of tips and information about my skin and how to take care of it. I did a European facial here last week. The esthetician was super caring and friendly. Though the extractions were painful, the procedure overall was very relaxing. After the facial my face was bright red until the next day, and the day after my face was glowing. However, a week later, my face is so dry and rough, and there are visible skin flakes all over my face. When I apply the samples they gave me, there's a burning sensation. Even my old skincare products feels tingly on my face. Before the facial, even without any moisturizer my skin had never been so dry. I tried calling them to ask about my skin condition, but the person at the front desk hung up on me twice.

I’m started my skin journey a year ago and went down the rabbit hole looking for anti-aging products. Unfortunately, the stuff I’ve been using gave me closed comedones so I came to Optaferm for their European facial which includes extractions. Olivia is so gentle and her hands are literally magic. Her extractions were concise and felt painless! Calla is SO knowledgeable. She researched ALL of my current products during my mask downtime and took the time to educate me on how skin biology works on a scientific level. I learned that I have dry skin and the products I’ve been using was for acne— which I don’t actually have! Now we are focussing on tailoring a skin plan that’s customized for MY skin. This is honestly such a relief because I was starting to get confused and overwhelmed with all of the varying advice on the internet. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, educational clinic with fairly priced treatments, kind and compassionate estheticians — Optaderm is the place to be!

I just had a great facial here. My skin has been sooo dry and I thought I was using the right products, I wasn’t! Thanks to Calla and her knowledge she was able to rehydrate my skin, relieving my dryness and wrote out a specific plan for what I needed to be using. I love these products and will def be back! Very affordable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I've seen Caitlin 3-4 times in the past year and always have a great experience. She is so knowledgable and careful with my sensitive skin. All of her product recommendations have been helpful to my specific needs and I always feel welcomed in her space. As a budget-conscious person, the price range of services and products is reasonable and allows me to visit a few times a year :

The consultation process was great they actually talked me out of a more expensive procedure, which shows integrity, the front staff were friendly and professional, and the space is clean and nice. My poor rating is due to my experience getting a laser facial, and the skincare products they sell. During the laser facial, the person administering it told me they would not be wearing a mask while mask mandates were still in place as it would fog up their goggles. They proceeded to cough repeatedly directly over me until I stopped them and asked them to put on their mask. I considered leaving mid-appointment because I was feeling panicked due to health-related anxiety. The aftercare skincare samples they gave me were fragranced and irritated my skin, which seems like skincare 101 as fragrance is a very common irritant.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to leave a review! I've been seeing Calla exclusively since February '21 I believe and I'm always SO pleased with my results. I'm an esthetician myself so I'm very picky and this is my favourite spot in the city for facial. If you're looking for a fru fru, "girly" type facial then this isn't your spot, but if you're like me and enjoy a no nonsense clinical setting where you see results then this is the place for you. Clean, well organized, and comfy are all words I'd use to describe the environment. Calla is very knowledgeable about their product line and makes common sense suggestions without any hint of a hard sell. I've actually switched over all my skin care to Optaderm as a result. Their hyaluronic serum is my holy grail product probably on my 3rd or 4th bottle now, and the masks are fab for home use as well. Looking forward to my next treatment already!

What an excellent experience! I went for my first facial and it has actually transformed how my skin feels. I’ve never had any major issues with my skin but recently started getting some white/black heads. She explained the science behind what was happening to my skin and helped me understand how to better take care of my skin. Their products are also excellent. They aren’t pushy at all with selling it and are super transparent about what makes sense for you to buy. Highly recommend! Only complaint is I wish they had a downtown location :
