this place is probably a 50/50 experience. The space was so cool and the workers were kind. HOWEVER,, I booked for a hard shell gel manicure.. but just like most bad reviews on this place the polish chipped the very next day. I also experienced a lot of pain on my nail bed the next day. I did also notice that the tech was adding A LOT of hard shell product leaving my nails looking VERY chunky and uneven by the end :/ I really really did not like the chunky uneven application and pain - so I called the next day and asked about having it changed.  I understand time is money and would have 100% paid to have the changes made. I was told they’d give me a call back and they did not : looking at reviews it seems costumer service is something they lack. It costed $150 for the service… and I did not leave with what I wanted. had they called back I would have recommended but unfortunately I will not be back.Service:&nbsp;Manicure

The salon was able to take a same-day reservation, the staff was professional, the place is beautiful and clean, will definitely come back for some fun nail art! And they also operate a really cute boutique right next door! Top notch, will be back.

I am huge fan of getting my nails done and I was recently introduced to ONYX in Gastown.  Their products and service are completely true to brand!  For anyone who's wanting to really to elevate their nails, and treat themselves, I would highly recommend giving Onyx a try.  They are super detail oriented, and their shellac is actually healthier for your nails.  Their staff are super kind, generous, and the space is so instagram-worthy. This place is amazing! Hands down best salon in Vancouver. They are extremely clean, professional and detailed. Plus the decor is very beautiful and inviting. There are many many nail salons in Vancouver, none as clean and beautiful as this. Of course I could get a manicure for $20 at another salon, but I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else as the service level, products and cleanliness don’t compare. If you are discerning person that likes good quality, this is the place for you.Services:&nbsp;Pedicure

I love the owner Linda. Full of vibrance and wants to see Gastown improve. She definitely is pushing for change in this forgotten area of Vancouver starting with her own piece of the block.  The interior design is stunning and the vintage clothes shop she has next door had some great finds. Got a gorgeous dress for my girlfriend and she loves it.

Beyond disappointed with my service. Nails chipped less than 4 days after gel mani. Booked to fix, came early and no tech was there was told would be 15 mins behind, 50 mins later tech arrives. Offered to do a rush job for a service that already failed when gel is supposed to last up to 2 weeks not days…  Asked for a refund and was told the owner could only authorize and she was busy doing “business stuff”.  Said they would call to follow up and nothing. Absolutely terrible customer service! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and will definitely warn my friendsService:&nbsp;Manicure

Highly recommend Onyx! Walked in to Onyx to have my shellac nails removed got them done at a different salon. Sunny was very professional and went the extra step with taking care of my nails. Couldn't have asked for better service!

Great customer service! They took me in super last min to remove nails from another salon. Thanks again Onyx!!
