With lot of seats, parking, stores, a nice place to take rest while travelling to the capital city.
Don't stop here, keep driving. This is a joke for a rest stop. Unclean tables so if you HAVE to stop here, bring your own sanitizer wipes. Not one table was clean out of 30+ available. We would have left but had been on the road for a while and needed to get out. Unfortunately the food we ordered we could not eat on the road. - hindsight we should have eaten in our vehicle. Management needs to get more staff on hand to keep up, and make this a place you want to stop at. Too bad :
The A&W was the worse place ever, bad customer service, bad food arrangements, everything was a bad experience. We ordered toast slice, they didn't toast it, and just put a dot of butter....when I went to explain, they were defensive and told me to tale my money back. Worse A&W ever...my kids were very disappointed
Have stopped here many times on our way to Montreal. Good and well maintained. Many options in terms of food. The washrooms were neat and clean. The gas station to fill up before you hit the road again. Definitely recommended!!
It doesn't feel like it has enough maintenance or cleaning staff for the amount of traffic that this stop gets, should. For the restaurants, the 4 existing ordering quiesce always have a line, or are down, and there is no way to clean the touch screen, and no sanitizer freely available for you, after you've used the touch screens. The automatic fixtures in the washrooms often do not work or need more thorough cleaning.
The on route itself was good, bathrooms were clean. Went to the Onmarket and bought a yogurt parfait, asked the girl if they had spoons, she proceeds to tell me no. I’m not sure what they expect us to eat this with. As I get back to the car and we head back on the highway I realize that the yogurt was passed it’s best before date, which isn’t a deal breaker as foods can still be good afterwards, but nope, it was disgusting. There goes 8 bucks.
Often stop here going from Toronto to Ottawa. It’s clean and well kept. Lots of clean washrooms. A variety of food options. It’s always been open when we come even on Christmas Day. Canadian Tire Gas station is attached.
I’ve been to a few of these ONroute places over the last couple of days and I absolutely love them!!! They have everything one needs when needing to stop for a break or whatever. I was especially impressed, tonight, by a young man at Tim Hortons who was so accommodating when I realized I ordered the wrong item. He took control and said he’d refund me for the wrong item and then sold me the item I wanted!! His name is Adam so say hi to him if you’re at the location!! All my photos are from two locations but all the locations are very similar!
If I could give no stars for A&W I would. Made a simple bacon & egger order at A&W, saw no line of customers but I should have known that was for a reason. Ordered at 10:05, left the onroute with my food at 10:25. 20 minutes is enough for me to just consider leaving my food there. I had to ASK for my food as I just watched it getting cold. Only three people visible working, all of which do everything to ignore you, don’t forget dirty looks and attitudes too. They made me feel like a bother. It was actually quite funny watching customers walk up, and walk away and say good luck to me waiting on my food. I’m from the area, my mother has had a similar experience about a month ago at A&W! Somethings wrong here. Left the onroute feeling like an idiot for even waiting that long.
It’s one of the best stop if you want to rest while driving or if you want use washrooms or want to eat something. The washrooms were clean. They have 2-3 restaurants like Tim HORTONS, a&w for a quick bite.
