Went for their second day Grand Opening though it seems like they've been opened for awhile already. They were offering BOGOs. Decided to build our own. They have a pretty good selection though you have to pick and choose what you want. Depending on the size you get, you get to choose more items. We got the large which gave us 5 scoops of proteins in which we could mix and match. After that we got to choose 4 normal toppings and 2 premium toppings. Didn't seem like there was a limit on sauces but we only chose two. The bowl was pretty flavourful though next time we would probably minimize the different types of protein we choose probably skip out on the seared tuna as it wasn't as flavourful. We did have a small fish bone in one of the bowls, and while it is probably a one off chance, might want to be careful while eating. It is also nice that they offer bowls that don't have any fish if you aren't a fan of fish. Expect to pay anywhere from $10 to $17 for a bowl. Worth trying at least once if you haven't before.
Not too bad in taste, price is a little much but they give you a lot of fish which is great! Presentation and service are 10/10! Very nice to look at, and very friendly service. I got the ‘Ono Poke bowl and I would say that the bowl itself didn’t as much flavour as I liked but the Furikake* rice was delicious. Just a little more flavour to the whole bowl would have made it perfect.
I’ve had the chance to visit this place a few times and every time their food is amazing! Definitely would recommend Uncle Thom’s surf poke! Not your average fast food place, the food is nice and fresh! Definitely different than any of your other average fast food joint. It’s a little on the pricy side but they use fresh premium ingredients so that’s understandable.
This wasn't the best poke bowl I've had. Tried to order two bowls but they didn't have enough rice for both bowls... It's a Friday night at 6pm, so I guess it was so busy during the day, they ran out but for a poke shop, this was kind of disappointing. We ended up with a large uncle Thom, and it was almost $18! This would've been about $14-$15 elsewhere so prices are a little high. The fish was okay but I found the marinade was bland and the spicy mayo lacked spice. The rice was done well, sticky and soft but that was it. The rest was highly unsatisfying. Needless, I won't be going back.
A go-to lunch spot, super fresh food, done well with both flavour and presentation, backed by a really kind owner I assume he is the owner. As good of Poke as I have had, Covid friendly setup both when getting food and in the larger seating area available. Definitely a must try for those in the area if you have not yet done so.
This food hall that they are in is not helping their cause. Menu items are dissapearing as it likely does not get much foot traffic anymore so hard to keep low sellers in stock, a guess. So much covered over on display stands. Price is high, not the fastest service. Taste is decent, but not worth barving the parking for.Food: 4/5
Absolutely amazing food possibly the best food I have ever had! absolutely beautiful presentation of the food, the photo was taken after a few mixes with my fork, but it was stunningly beautiful when served to me. The staff are extremely friendly and able to explain everything very well. The price is a bit higher then your average place to eat, however that being said, the food is well worth the cost. I myself am a bit of a picky eater and was concerned by all the menus options until I saw that there was a create your own bowl option. The create your own option was well layed out and very easy to follow. Will definitely be coming back here in the future for many more meals, and urge everyone else to come and try it, you will be instantly hooked.
Delicious poke. Very good, fresh fish and veggies. The owner, Jon sp?, Is an awesome guy, super friendly and helpful in accommodating small changes to the dishes to fit our liking! Thanks for a great experience! We'll be back.
Delicious! I love Poke and I've been to Hawaii. Ono Poke Co is the closest it comes without going to the island. I ordered the Uncle Thoms. It has tuna marinated with mayo and Tobiko. It's topped with more Tobiko and a pea shoot microgreens. This is premium quality product. I also love that they have Hawaiian chili water on the table. It's so true to Hawaii. I'm going to come back again for their Loco Moco.
Whoever was at the front today was extremely disrespectful. She was making fun of how i pronounced the word furikake. It took me off guard that someone could be so rude. The following person in line ordered the same and she said well at least you can pronounce the word properly. How can someone be that blatantly rude ? Never going back.
