There are few places in the town of bozeman that I don’t find myself extremely disappointed in the quality of food.. the lack of quality is truly astounding. On the rise has been one of the few places that are a staple for lunches during the week, and unfortunately it no longer is. This is not the first but the second, basic 10$ sandwich that I have gotten that I have thrown away and gone without lunch. The first sandwich was missing tomato and spinach, leaving me with a flavorless dry piece of bread, artichoke spread and cheese. The second sandwich is more disappointing.. it might have all of its ingredients but unfortunately only what resembles a tomato… At first I thought it was sun dried tomato, thinking that they had upgraded the sandwich being that it is winter and good fresh tomatoes are hard to come by only to realize that it’s a spoiled tomato NOT roasted or sun dried, which has made the bread soggy and tasting of rotten tomato. Thanks Bozeman food, I guess you really do always disappoint.
Wow- we just went to the new downtown location for the first time today and were SO happy with the experience! We liked how everything was grab-and-go, but most importantly, the food was delicious. We ordered the breakfast sandwich, croissant, coffee cake, and a hand pie, and all of them exceeded our expectations and I admit, I have high expectations for my pastries. We'll be back very soon!
Best hand pies and bread Yellowstone grain, & Birdie Bread what what! in the city. And trust me Bozeman NEEDS these hand pies. More pies of all kinds, please!
Best almond croissant! The staff are super friendly. Will be my first stop when I come back to Bozeman.
On The Rise got us through a wonderful weekend trip to Big Sky. We tried the fresh garlic, sourdough, and rosemary loaves, and our whole group loved each one. The group favorite was the garlic bread, and my favorite was the rosemary. We even bought two more loaves and delicious scones for the plane ride home from their bakery in Four Corners on the way to the airport.
Wide selection of delicious pastries and sandwiches. Excellent breakfast stop.
I bought a loaf of bread from a supermarket in west Yellowstone, thinking the most expensive one has to be the best and it’s a local brand so I was down to try! I was so wrong. The bread was so dry that it breaks easily and it tastes a tiny bit of sour, it feels like the bread has been left out for a couple months. I thought to myself - this must be what bread used to taste like for poor people back during war time when fresh flour is not accessible.
Easily the best sourdough bread I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’ve been buying it from T&C whenever it’s actually in stock because unsurprisingly it sells out so quickly whenever they drop some off!! for about 4 years and it’s never disappointed me. Nothing beats a fresh baked loaf of bread done right with good ingredients. The price may be steep but it’s worth every penny. Plus no better feeling than supporting a locally owned and operated business
Awesome pastry shop! The croissants are spot on!
I was traveling to Bozeman, and saw a sign for fresh bread. As someone who eats fresh, locally made sourdough bread at home, I was sooo excited. This loat was sooo so good. Cute location. Bread was spot on!!! Definitely worth a stop!!
