John has been the best drug dealer to me and the village people. Who has the most knowledge and experience, coupled with personality plus? He's a tough act to follow but the "new people" are doing their best to fill his shoes and I applaud their efforts. They have been very friendly and haven't let me down yet. People have bad days. Be kind and forgiving. I hope these partners are here for the long haul. No need to go anywhere else. Besides, if you miss John, when you call the pharmacy you can hear him on the company voicemail.
The worst ever since John retired. I always got refills for 3 months and all over sudden I was looking at 30 day refills. I called my insurance company and was informed that it is 100 days renewal. Called the pharmacist, and she said that is what is covered, I told her that the insurance said otherwise. So she checks and then tells me they must have changed it to 100 days. Well, it has always been 100 days before. Certainly more money for them filling the prescriptions more often. More money on filling prescriptions. Runaround on answering machine, getting hung up after over 9 minutes on hold, and the rudest person ever answering the phone. The calls were overheard by another employee, who agreed about the rudeness. The first time I called, before getting hung up on she kept telling me to stop pushing buttons in a very unpleasant way. My cellphone has no buttons and I told her that wasn't pushing any. After getting hung up on and calling back, the first thing she said, without me saying anything yet was "stop pushing buttons, stop pushing buttons", in a very nasty voice like talking to a misbehaving minor. Now I go out of my way to Peterborough, where a person is dedicated to answering calls, the fee is $ 3.00 less and they are open 365 days a year. Plus they are very pleasant, like John used to be.
Sad to see John retire. He has been the best pharmacist I've had the pleasure of dealing with. He was always friendly and helpful, and still continues to call you by name when he sees you around town! I hope the new owners carry this legacy in our small town.
Working in pharmacy myself I have an appreciation for great customer service and quality work. Being on the outside looking in John has got to be the best community pharmacist I've had the pleasure of knowing. Very knowledgeable and courteous. He even called me asking about a potential allergy before getting my prescription filled since it was faxed. I am proud to support local and will always recommend this pharmacy to anyone!
I haven't met friendlier people at a pharmacy EVER! We just moved to Omemee and John immediately made our experience in store and by phone not only good... but pleasurable! A1 service by far!
quintessential small town pharmacy. Everything you need with the added bonus of an exceptional pharmacist and staff
Called this store this morning. Asked for a certain item. The lady and pharmacist was very helpful. They put the item aside for me till I got there.
Always helpful, prompt and friendly service
