Enjoyed dinner on the patio served by Sam. The feature pasta, the ravioli Gorgonzola made with fresh ingredients and a light tomato sauce was delicious. Truffle frites with Parmesan was crispy and tasty. Unfortunately I cannot give a perfect score due to the inconvenience of not having accessible washrooms.
Food and service were delightful! We ordered oysters, the pesto fettuccine, and the risotto and loved it all! The fresh focaccia was truly the icing on the cake. Next time, I’m saving room for desert !
Went here Wednesday during the March break and they were jammed. That said, we were able to grab a seat at the bar. Ordered the bruschetta, bolognese, a beer and desert and enjoyed it all. Would definitely recommend but make reservations.
The service here was incredibly slow and was further disappointed by the portion sized on the appetizers. The largr charcuterie board was $34 and only came with 2 bread sticks and a few small slices of cheese. The bruschetta was $17 and only came with two small pieces of bread. The pasta was a fair portion side for a $24-28 meal and was very delicious. The food all tasted fantastic, but you have to know the menu to make sure you are getting what you pay for.
After 3 attempts over the summer 2021, I was finally able to get a table and had a wonderful dinner at Olivea. I wanted to try this restaurant for awhile as I read a lot of nice reviews about it but they are just so popular that the wait time for my last 2 visits were a bit long to my tight schedule. I am glad I did it tonight. They have super friendly staffs and food were gorgeous. Our family mainly ordered pasta today, I will 100% return for other dishes. I must say . . . Tiramisu is a must have.
So we had two different pastas, the penne carbonara was extremely mediocre, felt like the pasta was cooked once in the morning to be used throughout the day cause it was extremely dry, the portions were big though, the linguine pasta was pretty interesting and I would rate it. The host was bit mean and the servers took forever but I get it it’s busy, I wish they replenished the bread again.
Let me start by saying I am a foodie. I have also been to Italy a few times. Hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. Fresh tasty bread, exceptional olive oil and fig balsamic. Do not miss the Caprese salad full of flavourful and perfect tomatoes. Chicken with gnocchi, mwah! I will drive 2 and a half hours just to eat there again!
When we arrived there were no seats available and it looked packed. But I came to this Restaurant specifically to taste the food. I literally crossed the US border to eat at an Italian Restaurant in Kingston. Now, someone in the neighborhood told me to go elsewhere but I knew I needed to stay. Expressing the hostess Keon and another lady Abby why I was hoping to eat there. Abby worked magic and a table became available. There was 3 of us. One had the Carbonara, another Bolognese and I had the special, Pasta Feature. Prior a cocktail, Martini Expresso. I tried a bite of the Bolognese it was really good. But what was utterly delicious was the Pasta Feature. And it was just the right portion. The meat malted in my mouth. It was flavor and filling All the food was delectable and I say this place makes a great daye night Parking: Municipal parking lot
Amazing food. We ate here for lunch before returning home after spending the weekend in Kingston. We are coming back to Kingston in April and will be going back to Olivea for dinner next time.Food: 5/5
I chose Olivea for my Birthday dinner based on other reviews. I absolutely love Italian cuisine and I was not disappointed. The service was excellent. They did not rush us through as they were extremely busy due to a concert at the Leon's Center. The food was delicious and hot. Portion sizes were generous. If you like Italian, you have to try this place
