A surprise find in the heart of Kingston. Worth making a reservation for, we got lucky without one but they were fully booked. Service was excellent and the food was well presented and tasty. The salad was over salted, but otherwise the food was good. Worth a return visit if in Kingston.Food: 4/5
The service was amazing! Employees were super friendly and professional. Everything was beautiful inside, very nicely decorated. Food was absolute perfection, clearly whomever is in the kitchen is passionate about cooking.Food: 5/5
Fantastic dining experience. Comfortable atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. The food was top notch in terms of quality, taste and presentation. Appetizers included Scallops and Heist Bruschetta. Main course was wild mushroom risotto and steak.Recommendation for vegetariansHighly recommend
What a gem! Did not expect to find such a lovely place for dinner in the area. The food was excellent and the wine selection was amazing. Tony was charming and super helpful overall and with the wine choice, right on the money! The only possible improvement would be a few more Ontario wine options as there are many, when you go to the winery directly. Kacaba and Big Head are two in particular for fantastic reds.
Great new restaurant. Located in an old bank downtown they have 3 dining rooms and a fun bar. Atmosphere is relaxed. Food was supper yummy and fun cocktails. The vodka pasta was delish!
Overall a lovely dining experience in Kingston. We ordered the margherita pizza, dozen oysters, Lamb and crushed potatoes. The oysters were extremely good and fresh, while the rest of the food was just okay, and did not stand out too much. My one complaint is that the service we experienced was extremely slow. We received the oysters after 15 minutes, and then the rest of the food after 1 hour. Other tables that sat down after us, received their food and bills before us, and our server did not seem to care about us. That was the ultimate downfall that ruined the date.
Amazing top-notch seafood. Pasta is in line or maybe a little behind other premium Italian restaurants in downtown Kingston. All mixed drinks tasted really good but I would recommend that you tell your server to press the bartender if you want to get drunk on them. My first drink was more like a 0.75oz pour instead of a 2oz. Some words with the server ensured my second drink was stiff. Quite noisy in the front area but I was relieved to be seated in the back where I did not have to yell to talk to my wife.
We had a lovely dinner here with exceptional service and great food. Started with a blueberry tea & negroni so tasty, along with the duck confit taco which was spicy and delicious but the duck got lost in the other flavours. Very tasty nonetheless. Also had the tuna tartare with whipped avocado and Peruvian peppers which are the tiniest most delicious bursts of flavour, but not enough to save the dish from being bland. Sauvignon Blanc was good with the fungi pizza, which was insanely flavourful. Brilliant. Flourless chocolate cake was good, but kitchen had gotten busy by then and took a while to get out. Server was excellent and answered all questions as needed. I will definitely go back and try again.
A new restraunt in Kingston that brings fine dining to a new setting! HEIST has been all the hype recently and so for my birthday I had to try it out. The atmosphere was gorgeous, it felt very fancy and was very quiet for being so close to Princess and Brock Street. It was also interesting that each room had a slightly different vibe but continued the spy theme throughout. The staff was quick and attentive. Overall the food was quiet good, the had a lot of seafood options and a bit for everyone. I would recommend reading their menu carefully and asking about dietary restrictions as we did not expect the arancini to have bacon on top. The cocktail are fun in name and beautiful, they also have multiple mocktail options. Overall, the price was comparable to the Everly and it was a lovely going out location.
We've dined at this establishment several times and have generally enjoyed our meals. However, our most recent visit will indeed be our last. During this experience, our enjoyment turned to concern when we observed a staff member in the kitchen taste-testing products from a spoon and then using the same spoon to plate sauces onto dishes destined for guests. This unsettling sight occurred while my significant other and I were enjoying our meals, both of which we couldn't finish due to feeling sick to our stomachs. Upon raising this serious issue with the management, their response was far from reassuring. We were told that 'staff members are allowed to taste-test products as they go,' followed by them referring to the incident as 'weird,' as they indicated they had never witnessed such a practice before. Regrettably, the management's handling of this matter left much to be desired. We settled our bill, in full, and departed with a sense of disappointment and concern about the restaurant's hygiene standards. Note: Our table was in the corner where you could see through double doors into the kitchen. It’s been a few weeks since this incident, but it has left us unsettled and we feel the need to share our experience with others. Our waitress was otherwise great!
