I was really looking forward to pasta but there were no vegetation options. When I told my server what I was hoping for, they made something up just for me pasta with veggies instead of seafood. It was truly exceptional. Exactly what I was looking for. Service was excellent too. So glad I decided to eat in the hotel instead of going out somewhere! All this being said, they still charged me $31 for seafood pasta when I didn't have any seafood...
Nice restaurant in the Sheraton - the menu is new Canadian food with some Mediterranean inspiration. The space is elegant and comfortable, if lacking in personality. My parents and I went for dinner after I flew into Toronto on Saturday evening and it was pretty quiet, which was nice. Our server was very soft-spoken and occasionally difficult to hear, but he was super polite and knowledgeable on the menu, and happy to explain anything we wanted to know more about. My dad and I started with drinks. They didn't give us a drink menu at first, but we just went back to the hostess and asked. I had a Hennessey Daiquiri and my dad a French Martini. I think he was indifferent on his drink but I quite liked mine. For food, I ordered the BBQ Tempeh, and also ended up eating a good portion of the Ontario Beets Salad that my mom ordered. The meal started off with a bread basket containing dinner rolls and a sliced bread that was speckled with what I would guess were caraway seeds. I only had the sliced bread and thought it was nice. It was only slightly warm but tasted fresh and light. The tempeh was creative and bursting with bright flavours, and also beautifully plated. I get excited when I see tempeh on a menu because I love it so much when done right but it's less common than other vegetarian proteins, and this was everything I hoped for and more. The salad was also good - the beet salad thing is pretty common but the dressing made this one stand out and the vegetables were very fresh. My parents also had the Chicken Wings and the Grilled Cheese with Broccoli Cheddar Soup and were really happy with their food. We didn't have to wait long after we ordered to get food, but the way they timed bringing out the dishes was a little odd - my dad ordered the wings intending to share it with my mom as an appetizer for both of them, but they brought out the wings and my mom's salad which she intended to be her entree at the same time, and my tempeh shortly after. Only after the wings were finished did the grilled cheese and soup come out for my dad, and I was basically done eating at this point. We got the Sharing Platter of Desserts, which contained small portions of each of the 3 desserts on the menu: Apple Crumble & Ice Cream, Maple Crème Brûlée with Biscotti, and Double Chocolate Bread Pudding with Anglaisie Sauce. They were all delicious! I am partial to a good bread pudding so that was probably my favourite, but all three were done well. For fine dining, the prices are okay. Don't expect the big portions that you'd get at a more casual family restaurant for the same price, but the quality and attention to detail is top-notch, even on things like the grilled cheese and wings. Although it's probably frequented by hotel guests, it's a place I'd go back to for something special if I lived in the area.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Olio Grille, located conveniently near the Toronto airport, and I couldn't be more delighted with my experience. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the decor tastefully done, and the service was truly exceptional. Our server, Elfi, was the epitome of attentive and knowledgeable service. From the moment we were seated, Elfi ensured that our evening was unforgettable. She was well-versed with the menu and offered insightful recommendations that catered to our individual preferences. Her genuine passion for her work and the culinary arts shone through in every interaction. The food at Olio Grille was simply outstanding. Each dish was meticulously crafted, and the flavors were bold and harmonious. The presentation was visually stunning, showcasing the chef's attention to detail and artistry. We savored each bite, appreciating the high-quality ingredients and the innovative fusion of flavors. The highlight of our meal was the signature dish recommended by Elfi, which surpassed all expectations. The dish showcased the chef's creativity and expertise in combining ingredients to create a delectable symphony of flavors that left us craving more. The dessert selection was equally impressive, featuring an array of tempting options that were the perfect conclusion to our meal. The portions were generous, and each dessert was a work of art, both visually and in taste. Olio Grille also offers an extensive wine list with options that perfectly complement the menu. Elfi's expertise in pairing wines with our meal elevated the dining experience to new heights, adding another layer of enjoyment to our evening. In summary, our visit to Olio Grille was an exceptional culinary experience that we will not soon forget. The combination of impeccable service, exquisite food, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable dining adventure. A special thank you to Elfi for her outstanding service and for making our evening truly special. I highly recommend Olio Grille to anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience near Toronto's airport
Located inside the Sheraton hotel. Tried their grill chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries.. Very flavorful chicken well seasoned and perfectly grilled .. would highly recommend if you are looking for a quick bite
The staff was wonderful. I definitely didn't fit the clientele, being a tattood and pierced fat woman, but the hostess sat me in a booth that was very spacious. The server was kind and checked on me often. The food was really good and I got the lychee martini which was superb. There are low chairs with no arms, and booths to sit in. Also high chairs if you prefer that. It's very acessable for fat folks and people with disabilities. Pleasently surprised.
Good place Staff polite we friendly Ordered soup of day Chicken red curry - expected Thai style redcurry gravy but it wasn’t My friend had broccoli soup and said great Taste was good
This was one of the best food experiences that we had so far in Canada. My cousin has a lot of food allergies and the chef was able to modify the menu item so that it fit something that she could eat. The service staff was super nice and helpful. The place was very clean and it was a very nice bar area. We had the Chicken Tikka and the Power Bowl with Salmon. I have been burned by finding bones in my salmon before but I was pleasantly surprised not to find any in this perfectly cooked piece. Definitely Recommend.
Great service. The butter chicken + rice + naan = WOW
Excellent food!!! Had the liver pate, my husband had a steak and oysters ...great place for a quite romantic evening! Service was quick and efficient. We chose to be seated at the conference side with low tables, was more of a relaxed time spending away from the busy day, very happy that we visited. Highly recommend!
Excellent burger! Superb service. Nice atmosphere. We’ll make a habit of going there when we are in the neighbourhood.Recommended dishesAngus Steak
