I visited Roses Kebab Land with a group of my friends. We ordered almost all the beef kebobs on the menu. I would give them 5 star compared to the other Persian restaurants due to the great menu selection, nice food presentation, and excellent service. I believe there is room to improve the food quality but nothing serious to complain about. Heads up: The cabbage salad was expected to be sour but it was spicy and I liked it!
Tasty Persian food. I liked what I had here. First time ever tried walnut yogurt drink. An interesting combo, and I liked it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because there was no Persian bread here in the menu. If you add some variety of ethnic bread, freshly baked at the restaurant, that would be awesome.
The food was great but the parking lot setup is very tight with 1 way entrance. One customer decided to park to block the 1 way exit but the staff seems to know him and didn't ask him to move the car as I was leaving with my food. Lucky someone was in the car and she moved it.Food: 5/5
Really delicious kabobs but poor presentation. We’ve been getting kabobs from here for a while and always happy with the taste. However, it seems as though their packing and portions have been changing over time. I was quite disappointed with the newest packing they’re using that has separate slots. They are excluding some garnish they used in the past which makes the food look “cheap” and less exciting. Overall, the taste is great but the way they are presenting it now isn’t very appealing at all.
Koobideh was really good and moist. Chicken had a very unique flavour...was quite good actually coz I usually find it dry in most places. Had their koobideh kebab and salari kebab one skewer of koobideh and one of chicken. Each plate is good for two people. Good price then per head. Will def go back.Food: 5/5
Either we were given the wrong order, or they put no saffron in the chicken. The joojeh has no flavour and it isn't even yellow. It was expensive, which I'm fine with as long as the food is good, but no saffron in the chicken marinade? A manager who runs this page can feel free to comment below if my order was just prepared incorrectly, but for now I won't be coming back here.
Pros: + good service and friendly staff + acceptable kabab koobideh. To me, the best is still for Herby restaurant. + rice and food portions + nice food presentation Cons: - the worst kabab Barg I had ever had. Not tasty. Lack of salt and Safron. - kabab Torsh was also far from my expectations. The best in GTA is still for Reyhoon persian eatery. - pricy for the quality. You can have even much better kabab in iranian supermarkets, such as Khorak. I expected when I go to a restaurant, I have kababs better than ordinary supermarkets. - mandatory service fee for dining in! I won't come back here as there are many better options in the city.
I happened to be in Richmond Hill the other day to pick something up and was told I would have to wait for around an hour. So in the mean-time I decided to get some lunch. I'm not from Richmond Hill but I do love Persian food. I went to Roses Kebab Land at 9218 Yonge st originally but when I walked in the girl had told us that they are a banquet hall and not a restaurant, she then told us to go to 9108 Yonge st where they have their take out location. So off I went to the take out location. We pull up behind the building to a parking lot, looks very sketchy and dirty and a huge trash bin right beside this 3-4 car parking lot. I walk to the front of the building weird that they don't have a rear entrance considering the parking lot is in the back. Anyways when we are looking at the menu the lady behind the counter seemed ok to me but my brother said she whispered something under her breath because we were taking a few minutes to look at the menu. Anyways menu is pretty expensive. I think we spent almost $70 for 2 people. Kind of expensive for take out food. Whatever..I was still in the mood for Persian food. I'm doing a low-carb diet so I said can I replace the rice for salad. The lady then said no, salad is extra. Ok...fine. Anyways we wait for the chef to prepare the meat fresh in front of us on the grille and get our food and leave. We drive down the street to a nicer location to eat, just so we don't have a view of the dumpster. The chicken and beef tasted amazing, as well as the bbq tomato. The chef did a wonderful job preparing these. The salad I received seemed like it had been sitting in the fridge for a little bit - the purple cabbage had stained all the other vegetables and some of the lettuce was a little brown. Price - expensive for take out customer service - ok, not the greatest food taste - meat that was prepared fresh was good, my brother said the rice with safron was very good too. salad was 3/5 Try it, but there is definitely better Persian in the area.
Average Kabab koobideh. I've certainly had better tasting koobideh elsewhere. No red flags but wouldn't necessarily go back considering so many other options available in the vicinity. Roses koobideh was not as advertised. The chicken pieces were actually very thin and tiny hard to see on the pic.
This review is for their new location at 9218 yonge street place is nice....food was amazing...but it was sad that they were not following covid restrictions ...they tried to place us in a small table that was way too close to another table...we refused ..they put us at another table then again same issue we were so close to other people... Tables were not 2 meters apart and when we asked why they said that they had too many reservations and they are busy...but thats not a reason to have people in a place thats not safe. I did not feel safe there at all....they were not following covid rules and restrictions which is sad because the food was delicious
