Customer WiFi: no Washrooms: yes Power outlets: no Pet friendly: no Parking: Street Food/Drinks: the pretzels tasted pretty good but was burnt on the bottom which was unfortunate. Drinks were good. Service: server was nice and we got the right amount of attention Atmosphere: definitely a older style pub feel. Comfortable atmosphere but slightly uncomfortable seating
Awesome place to grab a beer. Amazing food. Great staff. Always feel welcome when I come here. Definitely one of my favourite places on Whyte
My team met here for some dinner and drinks, and we ended up staying for 3 hours or so playing pool, Foosball and just having fun. The pub has a very down to earth vibe and we loved all way they decorated the place too - it was super inviting. Staff was extremity friendly and the food and service was excellent. Highly recommend the pierogies!
The old Elephant Castle didn’t lost its charm with the new name and management. Super friendly staff and wicked breakfast roll.
Food was delicious & staff were friendly & quick.
This place has a great atmosphere and good drinks. They have a nice loft area that is great to sit on. For me, the only problem was that I didn't get great service. I had trouble finding the waitress when I needed a refill/when I needed to pay. It wasn't that busy at the time either. I ended up going to the bar to pay and the bartenders were really nice and helpful. All in all, I would recommend this place.
I'm pumped that this location is open again. They've done some updates since it was the old E&C new paint, opened up the bulkhead on the bar, etc and it's looking great. The music was the right volume for a venue like this, the service was quick, and the food was amazing. My god...the beer cheese...it was so good I wanted to drink a pint of it. They also brine their wings so they're tender and juicy - you won't be getting dried out disappointment here. I'm excited to see how this place evolves. Will definitely be back.
I was here during the middle of the day so I can't speak for how things get during the peak evening hours. Rising up from what used to be an Elephant and Castle, the Old Town Pub is a comfortable place to spend an hour or two, which is really the point of a pub. The beer selection is good but not too extensive, the food is filling without being gourmet. The interior is heavy on the dark wood, and the leather seating is comfortable.
Did a paint night here. Had a couple appetizers. Food was good. Cozy little place. Server was really good. The bar was big cool looking feature on the main floor and my drinks were good.
Had hoped to enjoy this place as I loved Elephant & Castle, however I was disappointed. Feels like E&C was gutted but nothing else changed. Same furniture, same paint, same bar except everything ripped off the walls. Just feels empty. The waitress had to check what beers they had on tap, if they had any types of bourbon. Menu was so-so. Might do okay somewhere else but hard to recommend this spot over anywhere else on Whyte ave.
