Old Homestead Tavern

First time here and will go back to try more food. The drink and food prices are reasonable. The burger was good but over cooked. The tater tots tasted great. It’s a smaller place with a few pool tables and looks like they do hot dogs and sides on occasion as it was setup for Tigers opening game. There’s a number of tv’s also. Update, been here a number of times now and the males bartenders are not attentive to men whereas the female ones are attentive and nice.

This little tavern is not for the fain of heart, but if you are looking for a dive bar with good prices, this might be the place for you. The burgers were good and the prices were unbeatable. The staff and regulars don't seem overly welcoming to strangers, but they seem very friendly with each other. When we walked in, I got the feeling that they thought we must be lost, but we heard they sourced their meat locally, so we wanted to check it out. The patio outside allows smoking, so if you aren't into that, then watch out, but if you are, you might enjoy it. If you don't mind slightly sketchy dives, I would say it's worth a try.

Food was incredible! Typical bar style food. Recommend to go before 10pm if you want a calmer environment it is a bar after all so choose your eating time wisely. Food served until about 1amFood: 5/5

Outstanding service and EXCELLENT prices!! Every time we go in we are treated like family by Michelle, Teresa, Dana, Heather, Sharon and the gang!! This is a true down-home feeling when you walk in this door!! The food is prepared fresh and the Keno is HOT!! The deck is nice for those that want to be outside. The bar is cold for those that want to be inside. For a small place they boast some exceptional beers on tap! Not just the run of the mill "Light Beers"! The staff is always professional and ready to serve! Stop by and I'm 100% sure you will be back! They have 2 pool tables a dance floor, Keno, several booths, tables and an ample bar!

I am the traveler I stopped by this place April of 2017 now it's August of 2017 if you are looking for a great dive this's is it. I have stoped by three nights in a row great specials. Monday $1.00 off pictures small one $2.75 awesome grilled chicken bacon ranch sandwich $3.75, Tuesday .95 canned beer yes 95 cents fantastic bacon cheese burger deluxe, Wednesday best Cuban sandwich I have ever had $2.00 well drinks. I can not express enough service for your food is slow this is because every order is made to order the best part of your wait is your food comes out hot and fresh the cooks are right on when it comes to grill top cooking can't wait till tomorrow. I recommend to any traveler looking for great food cheap drinks and good local clientele. After living near this place for 4 years, some neighbors and I decided to give it a try. Burgers and fries were great. The staff could be more attentive to customers needs, but they seem to pay attention more to each other. If you want good service, I recommend sitting at the bar!
