A fantastic local bar! A friend and I visited after a bike ride for the Bloody Mary's. They were hand made....not from a mix and absolutely delicious. Amazing pickled asparagus, pickle, lemon, lime, horseradish, and Worcestershire. We got an adult version and a virgin. Delicious. Lots of locals at a long beautiful bar watching college football. Outdoor seating protected from the sidewalk.
It’s a great dive bar that got renovated years ago. To me it became a little yuppy for a bit when they had live music and renovated, but I’ve grown accustomed to the nice wood. They no longer have the live bands. I miss authentic dart boards. I have a few favorite bartenders here. Thankful it hasn’t become a microbrewery like do many places. I like microbreweries btw, but it’s nice to keep these kind of places around.
There is not much to the Lakeshore Tavern. The bottles behind the bar are all basic. The tap list is fairly boring. When I asked the bartender when the crowd would be showing up, he said, "I kind of hope they don't." I imagine his hopes ring true far too often.
Announcement: Best Bloody In town! The Clamato juice base with perfect spices will make you a believer, and the free chaser is a choice of beers.
Great local bar. A nice place to settle down in and watch a Tiger's game. There is no kitchen, so do not come if you plan on eating. However, you may bring food there to eat.
Bar is rundown, it is dirty it smells, the bartender was incredibly rude and provided awful service. After awful service the bartender demanded a tip and ran out the bar screaming when I did not provide one. Went back a few days later to pick up a friend and the bartender was still outraged and made a scene. Very uncomfortable
Great atmosphere, with an awesome bartender that makes a meal bloody. Love that they offer free pool all the time .
The staff is great, good amazing and pricing fair. I love the quaint ambiance of this little place. It's cozy, friendly, and delicious.
Don't understand the bartenders here.....wait wait wait for a drink.... 7 people here...would you like a tip??? Or a sale???? Come on man, step ur game up traver!! Act like you know how to bartend.
This is a nice place to get away from the overly crowded bars. Nice beer selection, pool table and good music in the jukebox.
