Friendly employee. Had a brief friendly-chat with him too. Clean Restaurant. Very tidy. Food taste: Yummy. I'm loving my Chicken Shawarma sandwich. Pricing: Reasonable. $$ Location: Great for students and the residents of Sandy Hill area. Waiting time: No wait time experienced around 2pm. Menu: Everything one could expect from a Shawarma place; sandwiches, garlic potatoes, platters, sides etc., see my photo of their menu Will I return to this place? Definitely. Do I recommend this place? Definitely. My Rating: Definitely 5/5
The Shawarma was excellent, I'd definitely go back and have it again. Poutine is not quite there thing.. but the combo was $13 with a sandwich and drink. That is excellent value. Good location and very friendly staff. The kitchen and seating area looked to be pretty clean.
Truly awesome customer service. Great food. The garlic sauce is much thicker than most and I love that it’s not runny but a perfect consistency. Fries are crispy and everything in the garlic poutine is perfect after a late night out.Recommended dishesGarlic Potatoes, Garlic, Shawarma
Wow! Must try garlic sauce. I got the platter and loved every single bite. Thank you very much for the very good quality - it’s the best garlic sauce within a 10km radius !
I absolutely love this place and go there very often. The food always looks fresh, the portions are bulky and the quality is always on point. The owner and all of his staff are very nice and a joy to deal with. Particularly Raod who often works the weekends and offers fast service with a positive attitude that keeps regulars like me coming back. It's become my favorite shawarma place to visit in my 8 years living in the Sandy Hill area and I can't recommend it enough!
Edit: this new place is pretty good. I tried their chicken souvlaki, was tasty and had enough flavors. Decent portion size for the price. They should put less salad dressing and let the potatoes drain before serving. Check it out. Shawarma Bits: One of the best if not the best shawarma around. The chicken shawarma does not have a lot of fat/skin, unlike many other places, and it seems fresh. The garlic potatoes are not bad, but a bit undercooked sometimes. The Lebanese pies are tasty. I usually go for the veggie and eat it on the side.
This is my favourite place when I want to eat Greek food. The chicken souvlaki is juicy, and everything in their plate is good .
Raad is super and has some of the best customer service I have seen. Amazing restaurant the food is healthy and isn’t dripping with oil like other shawarma places. High quality food and high quality workers, I highly recommend.
My five stars were vote for Al-Basha Shawarma Bits this one of the best shawarma restaurant with their great owner called Ali? and his great groups of staffs, very friendly and talkative service attitude, kings and gentle Arabic Canadians and their smiles; also for their carefully prepared clean and tasty foods, followed food safety procedures made everything looks comfortable and no worries to eat. Once I experienced several times which my two Visa cards payments issues but the owner just smiled and waited with strong patients, he even said just eat and he can treated Tim his meal, later he holder my foods until I came back to Stanton residence close and brought debit card to finish the payment. So sad to see they left away, can’t imagine it. If anyone knows where they are, whether they moved to a new place or keep running their restaurant, how to contact them, I will appreciate for your information.
Ordered a chicken poutine from here. Service was very friendly and didn’t take so long. Once it got to eating, I was pretty disappointed. Fries were undercooked and hard and chicken was dry with barely any flavour. Only highlight was the garlic sauce, it was nice and flavourful! Hoping I just had a bad batch because otherwise… yikes
