I had the fried chicken and it was great . Crispy chicken at its best. I love that they don’t put the top bun when you do a takeout. The flavors where awesome and top both have french fries. This place is owned by top Chef Justin Sutherland.
What a waste of money. They don’t know anything about ramen. The shiitake broth is so salty and so is the katsu chicken. The texture of the noodles are good and the chicken itself is tender. But the broth and the crispy part of the fried chicken are just very very salty. It’s hard to eat. It’s like drinking pure soy sauce. Glad I had some water with me.
Not pleased with the service here. I asked for side orders of ramen and soup for my children. This isn't anything out of the ordinary for ramen places to offer. They are little children and just want noodles and soup. Guy tried to charge me full price for them, which makes no sense. He was incredibly apathetic and made no efforts to help me get the order correct. When I said that wasn't interested in ordering anymore, he basically rolled his eyes at me. Not coming back here to be disrespected.
One of my family members who is a local police officer was just refused service here and told "they don't serve police officers". That is one of the most disgusting, ungrateful, and infuriating statements I've heard in a long time from a business! If that offends you and you actually appreciate those serving and protecting your community, you would be well served to take your business elsewhere.
Disgusting, the fried chicken was burnt ans tasted s if I was pouring salt in my mouth. My sister went back to the counter and said it was burnt and we were unhappy. They stated unable to give refunds...no actual reason as to why. Compensated with fries but cant believe that the chicken was served. Never going again.
Can't speak for anything other than the Japanese fried chicken but man was that good. The original recipe was flavorful and moist and just plain delicious. The Tokyo hot was spicy! We didn't like it as much as the original but it was still very good. Would definitely go back for some fried chicken.
The ramen was delish - we had both the katsu chicken and pork belly ramens. We were loving both and will be back. The cashier 6/13/21 in 11:30 was a pleasure - he was so excited to tell us about the Top Chef connection. Thanks for the fun experience
Japanese Fried Chicken Sandwich was amazing The portions will fill you up. I interacted with 3 employees that were working on 10/21/20 in the afternoon and they were great. I caught the special after I already order and I’ll have to go back and try that.
Honestly very good food, however the Japanese fried chicken came out undercookedpink and cold in the middle and I asked if they could fix it, thinking they would just remake the 3 pieces when it was returned to me it was just the same chicken refried and clearly over cooked and burned to a crisp. Didn't bother trying again.
Staff is unprofessional. While I was trying to order, the manager came over and interrupted us to have a personal conversation with the employee who was ringing up our order. He was complaining about something, then said something along the lines of, “What are you going to do? Buy some weed?” Like what, was I supposed to be impressed that the manager here talks about weed? So dumb. 2 stars because 1 seems harsh, but I just thought the whole interaction was disrespectful.
