About

The Oakview PTO is about parents/guardians and teachers coming together to support our school and to help our students become the best they can be.

Story

The PTO is for all parents, guardians and teachers of Oakview Middle School students.

The PTO:
- Raises funds, primarily through "Pay-Not-To-Fundraise" donations
- Coordinates the Box Tops for Education fundraising program
- Determines a budget to distribute funds raised
- Organizes Friends and Fun Nights for Oakview students
- Organizes dinners for staff on Parent/Teacher conference nights and Staff Appreciation nights

In order to do all of this the PTO:
- Meets several times throughout the school year.
- Holds a budget planning meeting in fall each year to determine the budget for the school year.
- Coordinates volunteers for various events for the school year. (If you are interested in volunteering for anything, please go to our web site for more information. Sign-ups for actual events are done through “SignUpGenius”.)

This school is honestly an awful place to be in, seriously, the teachers do absolutely nothing at all, to stop people from yelling, picking on each other (IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS, MIGHT I MENTION), and it gives me headaches after being there for nearly 8 hours everyday. Don't waste your time, its not worth it

I don't understand why the assistant principal Mr. Larson have to make my son say yes for three times and then he said NO that my son have to say YES SIR to him (my son was playing bottle flip at lunch table on lunch break). This is the year 2017 and we are not living in the slave century.. My son made 3 touchdowns out of 4 in this year but on the football banquet night, my son is the only one who didn't receive the certificate. I was told by the coach that the principal make a mistake missed spelling my son's name but I got no apologize from principal. This is really hurt my son's feeling because he's really work so hard in the game and practice. Today My son ask me to skip school and I talk with him about school that's how I learned that some teachers are picking on him and his friends. I want to move him to other school but My son said no because he said there are some good teachers and he love all his friends.
