Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens

Terrible customer service. Didn't have memorial ready for service after 6 months lead time, withdrew money out of account without authorization, made our final days with our mother very stressful. No apologies, no accommodations, no empathy. Wouldn't recommend anyone to suffer through their amateurish treatment.

Corporate, impersonal and they would have taken thousands of dollars from my parents if I hadn't reviewed the bill. When they acknowledged the error they never apologized or even offered any attempt to rectify the situation. Horrible experience to be having compound end-of-life with loved ones.

So, why is it so difficult to get a Christmas decoration catalog each November? How many years of asking for one does it take to get on a list?

My uncle died and was cremated and buried in the flush marker section. He died over 4 years ago now. His wife died about 2 years ago and was cremated and buried here too. Their children bought a headstone through the cemetery and it is all paid for and has not been placed on the grave site yet. IT WAS ORDERED ONE YEAR AGO! My father died and was cremated and I need to bury him in this same section as his brother and other relatives. I called the cemetery office to ask about prices of things and when I wanted headstone info the woman got rude! She said they are not responsible for warranty of headstones not bought through them. I didn't even ask about warranties! I asked the headstone company I'm working with instead of buying through cemetery and they said the cemetery installs the marker and if they break it, they fix it. I am SO not impressed with this business. They are not BBB accredited, wonder why? They would have a poor rating. If you have no family buried here, use another cemetery! I'm sad to say I will not be buried with my father and my family in this place.

Both of my grandparents have sites here and it's a very beautiful place.
