Just buried my father at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery today. When we originally signed the contracts two months ago, everything seemed like it was going to go OK.
However, when I tried to get in touch with Brian (our 'salesperson') in the weeks leading up to the burial that we had planned, he never called us back. Even after numerous voicemails and emails were sent. He eventually called back a only a few days before the scheduled burial (3-4 weeks later), not to check up or confirm any details, but to simply say - "we are going to charge your credit card and mail your contract". You want your money - that's fair. At least return phone calls in a timely manner.
On the day of my dad's burial (today), Brian had originally told us that our plans were to process to the chapel where a short service would be held. Instead, we were led straight to the burial site. No service. We had to ask one of the cemetery groundskeepers to call someone for us and thankfully they were able to call someone last minute. Not what I would expect from a Catholic cemetery. My family was very surprised that things were handled this way.
The last few moments with my dad definitely did not turn out the way that Brian told us it was going to be. The poor communication made us feel like we were just another contract. Although the grounds are nice, I would make sure that you confirm each and every detail with whoever you end up working with. Set your customer service expectations accordingly. Last time I checked, it was good business practice to return your customers' phone calls in a timely manner.
This is the type of thing where you only have one chance to do it right. It definitely didn't go the way we thought.

Has been a source of contention for me for 27 years. From whom they allow in the cemetery to the horse manure they use to fertilize the grounds. Perpetual care isn’t par at all. Look at the once beautiful pond that is by the bridge now overrun with weeds and algae. Nothing but a cesspool for bugs. It’s shameful for what they charge the berrieved’s family. They need to clean up their act in many ways.

I was very disappointed that my grandma's headstone was totally grown over with grass, as were many others. If my grandpa's headstone hadn't been partially exposed, we never would have found them. We had to cut the sod away to view her headstone.
The Office personnel were very helpful. They gave us a map and pointed out upright monuments to guide us. The grounds were nicely mowed.

Wonderfully laid out. I don't know anyone laid to rest here, but it's a very peaceful place to go for a walk or take a jog. One of the nicest places in southfield in my opinion.
