O’Doherty’s provides a relaxing space for friendship and great Irish food. The thousands of dollar bills taped and stapled to the walls is indicative of the heart fullness. You can eat in a quiet booth or be loud, especially when someone sings an Irish song while standing on the bar. Food is consistently well prepared, and the stout Guinness beer on draft will put anyone at ease. The Shepard’s pie made with mashed potatoes connected me with my Irish roots, and the large pretzel was soft, chewy, and delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, as this place is a foundational Spokane restaurant that brings heart and soul to the downtown core!
As soon as we landed we were headed to O’Doherty’s. This is the ultimate pub with a million drink options, great pub fare, and fantastic service. The owner came and enjoyed some time with our group, and really made us all feel warm and welcome. I got the fish and chips, which was delicious. I was able to enjoy the leftovers from the large portion size later that night after a walk around Riverpark. Thank you so much for a wonderful time, and I look forward to returning again soon for the Sheppard’s Pie. Drink specials, daily specials, good food, cold drinks, and good service all made for an enjoyable dinner and drinks with friends.
Authentic. Good selection of Irish beers. Owner is always present and the main attraction. After 30 year in business they developed some traditions, like stapling a signed dollar bill to the wall or ceiling if you sing on the bar. Goid bar food. Recommended to visit.
Great place to go to when you're in the Downtown Area. Conveniently located across from the Riverfront Park Splash Pad/ Fountain. Venue is spacious, and the interior walls are covered in $1 bills. Story is you sing on the bar counter, you get to put up a $1 bill & get a lifetime discount on food there using a special card given. So sing your hearts out, vocalists! Fish & Chips was grear. The battered fish looked like a huge bone marrow. Great size for price & batter was crispy while the fish was tender. Grade A 5 taste on the dishes, that includes their juicy corned beef. Service is fast & customer service is great. Surprised even with a NFL game going on, employees made sure customers were taken cared of. I would definitely go back & recommend you check this place out if you're in the area. Just a street crossing from Riverfront Park.
Everyone in our party was happy with what they ordered. The service was amazing! They kept apologizing because they were slammed and the food still came out in a timely fashion. Great fish and chips! Also enjoyed the onion rings. Indoor and outdoor seating. There's a paid parking lot next door or metered street parking. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome until 10 pm Parking: Metered street parking or paid lot next door.
Great place for a pint, dinner and/or both. First thing a person notices is dollar bill decor all over the walls of the grille. A very Irish atmosphere as well. I ordered the Galway Meatloaf and was impressed with the portion and taste. My wife had the Whiskey Grilled Chicken and she was equally impressed by the quality of the dinner. Staff was friendly and willing to answer any question. I will visit there again when back in town.
Great food and great atmosphere! Owner Tim good-looking became family quickly. Loved it so much we ate there twice in three days. Made us San Antonio folks feel right at home with the best hospitality in all of Spokane!
I had the Reuben. It was really good the meat and cabbage weren't just layered they were chunks so that was nice. I chose the steak fries and a side of ranch. Service was quick tonight, I didn't have enough time to enjoy my Beverage before my food arrived. That is alright though, better than the alternative. Beverage selection is excellent.
This is the BEST pub as far as i'm concerned. The folks are warm and full of heart. We visited just for the weekend and went twice for beer and apps! Ended up singing on the bar and I will say this welcoming space was the best part of Spokane!
Random find when we were in town for a wedding! The staff here are so friendly; they say hello to every guest that walks in, even the owner I think he is the owner is the mingling with guests and his employees. The atmosphere is definitely Irish and the decor is unique. The walls and ceiling are covered with dollar bills with names on them. Food is also delicious!!! And of course they know how to pour a Guinness!
