I used to love this place but sadly it’s gone down hill. These were the burnt ends and they were literally like jerky and inedible. Also the green beans had so much salt I couldn’t eat them either.
We Asked For Our Money Back! We stopped on a Saturday at 12:30. They did not have menu items ready. My husband ordered the brisket Mac-n-cheese and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. He watched the staff as they pulled the Mac-n-Cheese out of the fridge in a plastic bag. They warmed it in the microwave since it was not ready to go. What he really wanted they said wasn’t available YET My husband said it was barely warm, and the brisket tasted like smoked roast beef. If you like brisket, you know what he means when he says this. Roast beef isn’t bad, just not what you want when you order a brisket. My food wasn’t bad. The whole experience was just not what is was before the new ownership. It is remodeled and fresh inside, but bottom line we paid $32 for a lunch that was really not edible The part that gets me is they didn’t even care to make it better, or hear why he wanted his money back. Wouldn’t you care what the problem is? Don’t you want to improve or at least find out what may be wrong? No. I don’t guess so. We won’t be back. That is a shame! Because it used to be a favorite place to go.
Very bad service and food. My burnt ends sandwich came on a wet bun with only burnt ends. No pickle no cheese, so sauce. When I did ask for sauce, it took about 5 minutes. The max and cheese cold and beans blistering hot. One of the worst sandwiches I have ever had. If I could rate this 0 I would. Even the sign says “Under new Leadership. So just within this last week we went to Dickey's and wanted to order brisket...they were out. It wasn't late either. So we went tonight and they had it. We wanted 1.25 lbs. It cost us $40!! "prices went up" give me a break! I can buy grass fed grass finished for 1/2 that price. This was no sides, no drinks, no waitress serving us, just the meat. So raising price, losing customers. Well I wonder how long they will stay in business.EDIT: I have been in email contact for 6 weeks...it turns out they fail at the customer service level as well.
I haven't been in here in a long time even though it's right next door to my work. I see the menus are new but that's about it. I showed up at lunch time and Baked potatoes are not ready. like usual, no ice in the soda machine. I ordered the #6 wing meal and the wings were not ready still frozen so she gave me the boneless wings. I'm done, that's the last time I'll go there.
We went today after staying away due to the employees. They were horrible, loud and used a lot of foul language. The new management has made it a 180 degree turnaround. We were impressed with the guy running it. We will return.
Me and my boyfriend went for lunch and there were 2 employees and right off the bat was told there was a 15 minute wait because they were backed up which I totally understood, but the employee who took our order was really frustrated because of how badly the store was stocked, and apparently the other employee because it felt like he was being bullied the entire time it didn’t really seem like he knew what he was doing, anyways we got our order maybe like 10- 15 minutes later and brought it to our table which was nice but said he was waiting on our fried okra which we were okay waiting for but our food was cold and because of how busy it was he completely forgot about the fried okra so by the time we were finished eating we asked how much longer it would take on the okra and he apologized and told us he forgot about it so we asked if we could get Mac n cheese instead which he was okay with it but the whole experience while just sitting there eating was awkward and just silent, he was complaining the entire time and demanding the other employee to do certain things and just seemed annoyed at any customer that walked through the door and honestly as a first time customer I don’t feel like coming back just because of the experience I’ve worked in fast food for 6 years and I haven’t been in a restaurant like this that was just so disorganized that it made they’re customers feel socially awkward to order there food. We also never got a name from either employeewe also still haven’t been contacted by the manger either lol
Every time I eat here the staff has no idea how to do anything! I feel like it's a new person every time. Every time I say I will give it another shot but I think after 6-10 times of giving them another shot I'm finally done!
Great portions for the price! Free ice cream as well! I have never been here before and not sure why I never stopped but I will definitely be back. The food was really good and the three different bbq sauces were all good. Classic, sweet, and spicy. Al the door was good. The biscuit was super hard though. Didn’t really care for that. The chairs and tables all look like they have been used for years with patches etc but if you don’t care and more worries about a good tasting meal, this bbq place hits the spot
I hesitate to give 3 stars to re-heated marginal smoked ? meats. They come in slightly above TT Old Iron and Outlaw Barbecue, but that's not saying much. All three are very stingy on portions and have come close to any flavor element.Food: 2/5
