NYF
"New York Fries is a premium fast food, food court restaurant specializing in French Fries, Gourmet Poutines and Premium Hot Dogs. Located in major malls across Canada, New York Fries has been Canadian's favourite french-fry restaurant since it opened in 1984. Today, New York Fries boasts locations across Canada and internationally. Offering a specialty menu based on fresh cut fries, the brand offers a variety of vegetarian and gluten free menu items. The classic fresh cut fry is suitable for a vegan diet. The brand is known for cutting Grade A Russet Burbank potatoes in store, leaving the skins on for texture and flavour, the potatoes are then cooked in non hydrogenated sunflower oil, and served hot and fresh to each customer."

We were served quickly. The fries were delicious and hot with lots of bacon and cheese. Centrally located in the food court in Coquitlam Center.
Poutine is one of my favourites. Never had any issues at all here. There was one time an annoying customer was crying about a free bcaa hotdog and he was intolerable but the staff has always been great with me.
I wanted to share my recent unpleasant experience with NYF at Coquitlam Centre. I took my son to NYF on Friday Sep. 30 around noon. My son is a great fan of NYF and we ordered a large Bacon & Double cheese. the cashier was not very welcoming when we ordered. I can see he seemed to be stressed I guess due to the busy hour. we didn't wait for long and he placed ordered for us and I paid via credit card. while we were waiting for the order I realized that I forgot to have him scan my NYF society code to collect points so I asked him and showed him the code on my cell. He looked very mad and said he had to cancel the order and start all over. He was so intimidating that I had to say OK forget about it then. he didn't say anything. My son was surprised as well and I tried to explain that the guy must be stressed from work and nothing personal. I can understand the work stress but I think it's very unprofessional to take it out on customers. in a food court, you only serve one customer for one or two minutes - it's probably only one of your many minutes dealing with NYF customers, but for each customer that's her/his whole maybe only experience interacting with NYF
My food was fine, I don't know what happened to other peoples orders, seems typical NYF. Only thing is, ordered a hot dog, kid asks me what I want in it, I say green onions and he tells me "that's extra" so I had to go back to the cash to pay 50c hahahaha. 3 provinces and a decade of NYF I don't remember having to pay a premium for green onions lol EDIT: thanks for the generic reply but I'm not wasting my time on this you can fix your store on your own, or not. Also, never said I wasn't happy, I had a good laugh afterwards
Ordered a large poutine. fries came out cold, they added barely any gravy and it turns out their “free toppings” are now only for hot dogs.
Unfortunately, New York fries failed to meet my expectations. My wife wanted to take advantage of an offer made to BCAA members to get a free hot dog today. We went to the Coquitlam Centre food court and stood patiently in a long line together with many other people with the same expectations. When our turn came, we were told that the hot dogs were not ready, and we could have small fries instead. If we wanted hot dogs we would have to get back into line. We had in fact intended to buy fries with the free hot dogs. However, as my wife explained to Patrick who told us this sorry tale, we wanted to eat the hot dogs with fries, not eat the fries and then have the hot dogs 10 or 15 minutes later. Really! Is it an unrealistic expectation that when a business promises you something, they deliver what they promised?Or that they would ensure that they had enough resources in place to serve the many hot dogs that were sitting there in front of us? P.S. Please don't apologize and offer me a "freebie" in return. We went home and made hot dogs which we were able to eat, with homemade humus. I doubt that we, or the many other people standing in line will be returning. Thank you though to New York fries for helping me to meet my goal of walking 6,000 steps today.
My friends and I went there as usual and ordered medium veggie fries. After receiving it, mine was half empty and my friends had full. I asked the man who was working there which I think was the manager to fix it and he said no it is our portion. I showed him my food and compared it to my friends and he said it’s the same which was NOT with very bad attitude. It wasn’t about the food for me it was about how disrespectful that man was. Other workers were very kind and respectful and one of them tried to fix my problem but that man didn’t allow her.
Fries are awesome ...a little pricey after all its just a potatoes but there good...Food: 5/5
they charged me extra for adding onions to my poutine which is free in every other locations & they gave me less fries in my large poutine box in my order
5 times in a row they horribly messed up our skip order the food they did send wasn't even fully cooked.not worth the price they want. So sad we used to love this place.
