Our first anniversary and my hubby and my first time. I can’t say enough about what a gem this place is. The food from the first course To our amazing tiramisu exceeded our expectations. The staff was attentive and helped us celebrate our special day. I love this place and will definitely be back! Try it you won’t be disappointed!! Let’s step up and support family businesses in St Charles!!
We should have taken the red flag when we sat down and heard other people complaining about the wait time as well as the order accuracy. Appetizers were good. Food was sub-par, it took about 2 hours for us to get our food after we sat down and one out of four orders was incorrect and I think the best thing we ordered was the raw oysters and that's impossible to mess up the servers looked frustrated and overwhelmed. That atmosphere was nothing special . You can do better than this in St. Charles for sure.
Awesome food. As well as a Wood fire pizza oven. Cozy. Old School Italian restaurant. With very generous portions. You may come hungry, but you won't leave hungry! And you will still have leftovers. Can't wait to return and try the pizzas.
We came here after our wedding and everything was perfect. What I love other than the interior decor, ambience, cocktails, and attentive service is the proper portion size of each meal. Exquisite dining overall.

Great atmosphere, relaxed but elegant, every thing was delicious! Minestrone was perfect with asst. bread, great house Chianti, homemade pasta with lobster and shrimp melts in your mouth, great sausage pizza with crispy and chewy crust. Can’t wait to try more!
Have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but after three consecutive bad meals i will not be going back. The food has been over salted and they still have not figured out take out orders. I have had missing items and this last time the plastic top melted into my meal. And still.no bread? Come on. The people taking the phone orders have not been to knowlegeable on the menu and rude when i come in for pick up too. That said, I will find another establishment to visit.
Been here many times before and one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Came for dinner on Friday and very disappointed with service. When they served, my wife's pizza was not ready until at least a half hour after they brought out our dinners. We were done eating and she did not have her food yet. My father in law and I both complained but staff seemed unconcerned. They did not charge us for the pizza to make up for it. I always order the same meal spehgetti calamari and it was not as good as the past.
Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I'm constantly traveling. Ive found an interesting thing: the closer you are to a major city in this case Chicago the more douchey and nasty the reviews get. This place was just wonderful. I was a happy NJ Italian. I sometimes can't figure out what restaurant they went to. The hurtfulness is amazing. I think some of these folks should stay home or open their own restaurant so they can feel how it is to get beat up. It's luke music reviewers. Screw em. I loved Nuova Italia.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging staff. Very fair prices. Loved this restaurant...Our compliments to the chef!
