Great worship and a great bible based word every week. The atmosphere is always friendly and accepting, join us every Sunday from 09.30-10.45 and second service from 11.15-12.30.

This was the first time I ever visited this church and because Im trying to find a church that I like, I thought that this was the one. There is a wide age range, the people are passionate and attentive, the music is contemporary and sung by a talented band and the santuary is beautiful. However there was one problem: the pastor said he would never marry a gay person. Im sorry but is this not 2016? Im pretty sure times are changing. He said to me that the church would never tell someone they are going to hell BUT he would never allow a gay person to get married in his church. Sounds pretty judgey to me. Then he went on to say how if a gay person wanted to get married theyd have to go to a united church because "united churches dont believe the bible is God's word, they believe its just suggestions." Which btw is not true. This was all after he said a part in his sermon how there was only 40% of people going to church, and he wondered where the other 60% was. That other 60% is people who dont feel welcome in the church for whatever reason. Probably because they dont fit the cis-gendered/straight/homophobic ideal. So how do pastors expect to get more people in their churches if they arent going to be accepting of absolutely everyone? I guess they wont. Anyway that was my experience. I ended up going to that church with my roommate (who has been a Christian since she was younger) who has said btw, that its nobody's place to judge anybody and she has zero problems with anyone who isnt straight/cis/or what have you, and that she would not be returning to that church because of how the church is, and neither will I. This church has a few positives but all the upbeat worship music in the world is not going to keep me coming back when I know I would not be welcomed fully at this church because of who I am and who I love.
