I really like the small town feel of this restaurant. It reminds me of going up north in Michigan and stopping at a mom and Pop place. Friendly staff and great food. I’ve never had tomatoes in a western omelet and I have to say it was great idea on there part. If I’m ever in Indiana I will stop back by.
Service was great. The atmosphere was like the old 50's diners. But the food was even more amazing. The price was comparable. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended. Just like the good old days. Kid-friendliness: Stephanie you are amazing & a pleasure to have as our server in the diner.
I got a boat of bacon, and my wife got country steak with gravy over curly fries. My daughter got a ham and bacon triple decker. Everyone loved their food. Waitresses were engaged and assisted each other to ensure we were taken care of.Food: 5/5
food was amazing and the service was excellent. had no idea this place was here but I will definitely be back! the cheddar jalapeño biscuits were great. the waitress was very friendly and very attentive. overall a great place to go for breakfast that doesn't cost a lot. would give more stars if I could! Kid-friendliness: there were a few kids there and they were treated great Parking: not the biggest parking lot but there was street parking just outside of it
Great experience grabbing my patty melt & fries to go. It was a treat to get a pickle & a little cup of applesauce with my meal. Service is always so friendly. Parking: It can get a bit busy on the weekends especially in the summer time.
So glad this establishment reopened after the pandemic. Great food, small town atmosphere, and my coffee cup never gets empty. Food: 5/5
Finally made it here. Great small quaint diner with a large breakfast menu. Service was terrific. Clean, well maintained and fun decor like the old malt shops.
I’ve been coming here since I was in high school and never had any issues until the last couple of times. To start off, our waitress was very rude, didn’t even greet us, and it was clear from the start how bad our service was going to be. When we finally ordered, I asked if the “chicks” came with cheese, since I was overcharged the time previously and she said yes. When the food came, my hash browns were completely burnt and inedible and there was no cheese on them. I brought this issue up with the waitress and she just goes “oh yeah” and walks away. She returned with a plate and tells me to put the burnt hash browns onto the plate and wait for new ones, but didn’t take them off the bill or apologize. When the bill finally came, there was a charge for “extra cheese.” I asked about it and brought up the fact that I had already asked if it came with cheese and she said that cheese doesn’t come on the “chicks” and she argued that she never said it came with the meal. The top of the menu specifically says “comes with choice of cheese”. She said that that meant I have the choice whether to get it or not, which makes no sense. She then explains to me that only one of the chicks on the whole menu actually come with cheese and everything is billed separately. Overall, the customer service and the experience was horrible. I used to love this place but now I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. HUGE disappointment.
My very favorite go to breakfast restaurant....nothing fancy but a great 50s breakfast and lunch diner....friendly and so good and reasonably priced...Biscuits and gravy are amazing...just like my grandma made, the blueberry pancakes are to die for and if you order ham, the portion of ham is so large it comes on it's own plate. I have never had lunch here but my son has and said what he got was very good as well....Unfortunately we no longer go here. They are no longer open on the weekends. They are inconsistent as to staying open. They have lost all of their competent staff, not worth the bother to go anymore even though the food is still very good.
It used to be a great place to eat if they're open nowadays they just open when they want to be they're never open on the weekends and you're lucky if they they're open during the week that it's ridiculous they should just close the doors and go out of business if they don't want to service the customers that come there
