Mostly disappointed there's only one single stall gender neutral bathroom and no gender neutral change rooms/showers. You'd think with it being a university gym, it'd be more progressive. The equipment rooms and the studio with punching bags are quite small, the building mostly centers around large open gyms for ball sports.

The northern sports centre has some of everything, but not a lot of anything. For strength training, there is a limited amount of equipment to use, and to make matters worse, some equipment is not useable at times due to exercise classes taking place. The staff at the northern sports centre are great and very helpful, and there are a variety of other facilities to use as well ex. Running track, etc, and so for people that make use of the rest of the facilities it may be worthwhile.

Been going here for a few years and it's my favorite gym in PG. Weight rooms could be bigger/have more equipment as they get pretty crowded during peak hours, but the track upstairs with other equipment in the corners makes up for it. Staff is nice as well as the people who workout herennEdit: facility has gone downhill. They no longer allow more than one vehicle under a pass holder which is inconvenient for anyone who shares a vehicle with their s/o or has a work vehicle. The paper towel dispensers and sanitizing equipment are constantly empty as well.

If you are looking to seriously just go and do your workout this is the worst place, it is the most overcrowded gym in PG, lots of teenagers groups texting, chatting and taking ownership of a machine for 40 minutes, not to mention that you will be doing loops and driving around for 20 minutes before you find a parking spot. Didn’t have the best experience. Staff is not trained, always have new staff and they’re not friendly or helpful. Hygiene is bad, the cleaning stations could have an empty bottle for hours or the paper towel could be empty for hours before an staff member goes and replace it to the point that I’ve had to call the front desk and ask them to replace so I can wipe the machine. Due to all these I canceled my membership and got charged for a full month after I gave notice of canceling my membership and they won’t refund or respond to my emails. Wouldn’t recommend at all.
