North Woburn Liquors

Called the store to find out the time they were closing for the evening. They were open for another half hour so that worked out perfectly. I came in at 1030pm on a Wednesday evening. The two gentlemen behind the counter acknowledged our entrance with their eyes but said nothing. No big deal. Maybe they're quiet people. Grabbed a twelve pack and came to the counter. They asked us both for our ID'S. Not a problem. I show them my ID as I'm now a California resident. I had to move from Boston to California for work but was back visiting family and working remotely. He immediately became hostile and stated that they cannot accept out of state ID'S and the manager isn't there to verify. Had I known this, I wouldn't have made the trip. Reading the reviews here, this seems to be a trend. The funny thing is, they both looked old as hell and they're not the owners or managers. Made me feel a little bit better about myself as I'm 38 and probably vastly further ahead in life than either of them. Oh yes, I'm 38 and they still refused. My friend had his US passport with him and they still refused. I think this business is up for an investigation with the BBB. I'd highly recommend you not utilize this business. As a long-time Massachusetts resident, these guys are the purest of townies. Stay in the city and don't bother with Woburn. It's not worth your time nor money. I hope this review helps others. Plenty of other great places in the area for spirits. Thank you!

I have been going here on and off for over 3 years. There is one older guy who works there who is clearly racist. I went here on Sunday st 2:30pm and this one older guy again gives me attitude for no reason. I am of Pakistani descent and clearly he has some issues. I asked for a pint of liquor and he gives me a huge patronizing response because he was habing a sandwich behind the counter. I called him a dick and left. There is definitely some racial issues with this guy. Been going there for 3 years and he is the only one who gives me attitude for no reason. I wonder what his problem is?

One of the worst customer service ever! That lady at front name Jill she is very rude and has so much attitude. Never going back!

Good selection, younger employees are nice, but the older dude (assuming is the owner) was extremely rude/hostile about checking IDs (as he is every time we go there) and is extremely condescending as if he assumes everyone is trying to pull a fast one on him. At 27 years old it's a bit ridiculous. Card me, but don't be a jerk about it. Will avoid in the future.
