Dr. H was bewilderingly callous and rude to us after we received our dog’ cancer diagnosis. We had never gone through this before with a beloved pet and we called looking for some information about what the diagnosis could mean. He cut us off on the phone and told us we should find another vet. His behaviour was completely unprovoked and incredibly hurtful, and I still don’t understand how anyone would deserve that kind of treatment during an already difficult time. Selkirk Vet treated us with total compassion and saw that we just loved our dog and wanted to know what he would be going through. I absolutely would never recommend this vet to any family needing sensitive and caring care for their loved one.
We have been taking our animals to this vet for many years and have always found the clinic honest, reliable and having fair prices. Last week I called to book my dog in for a general check up and the women on the phone was quite rude and seemed rushed. I had to re-schedule my appointment and when I called today to do so, a man answered I am not sure if it was the vet but he was extremely rude and didn’t even let me explain or give me the chance to tell him why I was calling. Before I was able to re-schedule he said call back on Monday… the clinic was still open at this time so why should I call back another time? This is very poor service in my opinion. It is disappointing to see a good clinic not care about their relationship with their patients and ultimately loose them.
Great experience with our Frenchie who was treated for a split nail. The vet and staff were super friendly and the procedure was quick and painless. She was in and out in a few minutes and very affordable service. Thank you for treating our girl so well!

Honest, direct, respectful and kind. They spayed my kitten when no one else would no new clients due to covid and waitlists. Super appreciate them and their time.
Saw us late on a long weekend for an eye issue. We are so grateful for his kind and gentle care
