Cute restaurant about 7 minutes away from the airport. You have the choice of Tea, coffee or juice as a beverage included in your meal. The beverage comes out first while you wait for your order to be served. I ordered the Pancake combo 2 Pancakes, 2 eggs your way, 2 pieces of bacon and 2 pieces of sausage. 1 Pancake is really all you need as it is thick and filling. Next time I come, I will get the 1/2 combo as it comes with 1 of everything. The Pancake and bacon were good but the sausage and egg were okay. It's standard diner food, but it wasn't spectacular. The staff was really nice and there were a lot of families coming in. If you're looking for a friendly and homey ambience, this is your spot!
Amazing food, never had a more fluffy omelette the chorizo and spinach was bomb!! the hash browns are perfect, the pancakes are perfect too... beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff!!Food: 5/5
Went for brunch fresh food and delicious and they are not cheap on the portions worth the trip to lake country. Will definately be back.Food: 4/5
Three of us stopped by for lunch on a Friday and the place was busy. Just shear luck that we got a table. Ordered the beef burger and fries, a Ruben sandwich and a BLT with soup of the day which was Pea soup. My partner and I shared our sandwiches so we had a taste of both. Nice to have the choice of fries, soup or salad. Prices were on the higher end but the portions were ample and quality very good. Everyone was pleased with their choices and found them to be delicious. Fries were homemade and crispy. Was a bit unusual to order at a counter and prepay before sitting and tasting your food, however being able to leave without having to wait to pay was quick and convenient. Both drinks and food were brought out to our table by a server. Asides for a long wait for the burger apparently a mix up, service was good. Lots of barriers separating the tables, so felt Covid safe. Will definitely try other items on their menu. Stopped by again and tried the Ultimate Omelette. It was fluffy and stuffed full of sausage, bacon, green peppers, onions, tomatoes and cheese. Delicious!
My husband and I were Christmas shopping and on our way back to Vernon I read the reviews and we decided to eat at Norman’s. It was around 11:30 am. We ordered our brunch and were asked to be seated shortly after the waitress brought us old tasting coffee and then about 15 minutes later our brunch/breakfast. Nothing special or great tasting. Lacking flavour and the potatoes were barely warm. Both of us never were offered more coffee or anything else. No one checked to see if we needed anything. Rosalinda’s and Diner on 6 in Vernon have excellent brunch/breakfast and beat this place hands down.
It was our first time trying Norman's, and it was absolutely delicious. Ordering first before you sit down is a great way to keep things simple and streamline. Food came out very quickly and the staff were very friendly and proficient. They had colouring pages for the kids too. We will definitely be going back!
An excellent breakfast place for people who are gluten free/celiac and/or have dairy allergies. It’s also an excellent place for people who don’t! The staff is lovely and very friendly. It is good value for the money. You won’t walk away hungry. Lots to choose from.
I love Norman's. I found it a few years ago, and the staff are so lovely with great food. I have a gluten allergy, and they are able to accommodate that dietary restriction. It is awesome to get such fantastic service and tasty brunch Dietary restrictions: Have a lot of gluten friendly options. Just ask your server who will be more than happy to help.
Went for a late breakfast with my 5 year old on PD day. As others have already mentioned, it was a bit surprising to see the layout of having to order and pay as soon as you walk in the door, but big deal. It didn’t ruin the experience for us by any means! My 5 year old was disappointed that there were only two choices on the kids menu mini pancakes or a waffle - neither of which had eggs or meat with them. It’s simple diner food. Good quality, but nothing too special or out of this world. But what do you expect for a quick serve diner in Lake Country? However, its a good addition to the scene here and we will probably be back at some point.
Oh Norman’s diner.... This was our very first visit to this establishment, Initially arriving we had to pay for our meal in advance at the front counter which was odd but no way did it affect our experience. We got steak and eggs, poutine and the single pancake combo. The steak and eggs sucked for the 17$ price range but the “hash browns” if you want to call them that were terrible, They are potatoe slices fried on one side, nothing fantastic. The poutine was pretty good and we would definitely come back for that. Pancakes were pretty good but the bacon was cold like my ex. The biggest downfall is CUSTOMER SERVICE. We were initially greeted with a very nice lady but at no point in time did anyone come check on us or see how the food was.
