Good place to have Tibetan food. We ordered Chicken Hakka Noodles Spicy and found them not very spicy as per Indian liking. Chilli Garlic Noodles were actually sweet and pink in color for some reason. Shrimp Sizzler was good although the quantity of shrimps could have been more. Nonetheless we enjoyed the food. Will visit again.
Was my first ever time eating Tibetan food in Toronto and I knew Norling would not disappoint, especially since it’s located in the Little Tibet neighbourhood. Although the restaurant serves other Indian based dishes, we decided to stick the Tibetan food. As such, we got the la phing which was my personal favourite as someone who loves spicy food. The vegetable momos were done fresh and flavourful, although the chilli option did not really elevate the flavour profile apart from adding some sweetness to the momos. We had a vegetable dish that had an eggplant based patty looking dish which accompanied well with rice and even better with the Tingmo steamed buns. The freshness of the Tingmo was one of the highlights of our evening, if only they had more spicy Tibetan dishes to pair with it. Nevertheless, I will return here to try out the more Indian seeming dishes and definitely again for the La Phing.
Don't let the exterior fool you. Very nice cozy place with lots of Tibetan, Indian, Hakka options. Food was good, bit different for ex. Manchurian preparation had tomatoes in it with a Tibetan twist. Service was also good.Food: 4/5
I’ve been to all the Tibetan restaurants in the area and this one is for sure up there in my favourites! I ordered pork chilly with gravy mild, Egg fried rice, spicy chicken wings mild and a mango lassi. The pork chilly dry with more spice would’ve tasted better in my opinion. Egg fried rice was really good. And the chicken wings were reallly good!! The mango lassi was one of the best lassis have had!
All the food was so flavorful. Definitely some of the best Momos I've had in little Tibet. Definitely get the Tibetan sausage.
I really like this place, the atmosphere and staff and I liked most things I had there. One bit of friendly advice I want to give though is pictures on their menus. Norling cooks more authentic and less mainstream foods than the other Tibetan restaurants in the area. Which is great, since I've tried a few of them but for non Tibetans it's a bit hard to know what they are and sometimes I had to guess. So far my guesses have turned out good though, I will return here on a regular basis and thoroughly enjoyed all my visits so far
Wow! What a fantastic spot! Food was excellent, flavorful and well prepared we had momos and soup. Prices are reasonable and service is efficient. I was just walking by and figured I'd give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. I will definitely be returning. Kid-friendliness: High chair and kids cutlery available.
My favourite momos! They are always soft, fresh, and flavourful. The chutney they are served with is out of this world in flavour and spice - Definitely recommend for those who like the heat, as it is probably one of the spiciest sauces I’ve ever had. 10/10. I order from here often and always left wanting more!
Norling Tibetan Restaurant is one of my favourite place for dining Tibetan authentic food. I strongly recommend Vegetable Manchurian for Vegetarian. One rice bowl is served with it. Chilly potato is highly recommended as a starter for vegetarians. Beef Amdoe Momo Tibetan dumplings is strongly to Non-vegetarian. The customer service is excellent and they serve very freshly cooked dishes. You wouldn’t be disappointed if you visited Norling Tibetan Restaurant.
THE BEST momos in Toronto! Some of our favourite vegetarian dishes. Flavourful, rich, and authentic Tibetan cuisine. Veggie balls are our personal favourites. Vegetarian options: Lots of delicious meat alternatives that even rival the meat dishes.
