The Norfolk Fitness Centre is located in the Simcoe Travelodge.

Story

The Norfolk Fitness Centre has over 9000 sq feet of Weight Training and Cardio Equipment Space. We have a full free weight centre as well as a complete stationary weight training system. Cardio equipment includes treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, stationary bikes, steppers and rowing machines. There are also two racquetball courts available on site as well. We offer classes such as : H.I.I.T, Spin, Total Body, Kettlebell, Stretch, Aqua Fit as well as Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Stretch, Sculpt and Core. Two Personal Trainers are on-site. Completing the package is an indoor pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. Family, student and senior rates are available as well as payment plans.
Single Membership Prices range from $70/month - $540/year.

This is a review specifically for a trainer at this gym. Her name is Chrissy and she is amazing. 

I had been training by myself for the past 4 months to get myself ready for the Special Constable physical fitness test. Now I hate going to the gym and lifting weights because I get bored easily so I mainly did Calisthenics to prepare for my test. But the issue was that even though I made some progress by myself I began to plateau and I couldn't get my body 100% ready for the test. 

So I joined the Norfolk Fitness Centre and got myself a trainer to get over that last hurdle so that I could pass my test. The main issue was that my test was in 3 weeks, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to pass. 

So I met with Chrissy and I explained to her what my problem was, and right away she began giving me great advice on fixing my diet and sleeping habits, and she told me she would do her best to help me. 

And let me tell you, in just 3 weeks, Chrissy trained me hard, and she helped me get to a 100%. Seriously, she is very good at what she does. And as an added benefit, I now see the value in lifting weights and Chrissy even gave me the workout plan she used for me so that I would keep following it on my own.

If you need help getting in shape or just need to get over your own hurdles, ask for Chrissy. Great trainer, and great gym.

I have tried many difference gyms over the years and have never really been too happy with most of them.  This one is totally different.  The staff are very helpful, you never feel as if you are bothering them, tons of machines so even if someone is on the one you want to use there are many others.  The pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room are all very nice and clean.  The only thing that held it back from being a 5 star for me is the wash room/change rooms.  They are very clean and well kept however they are starting to get out dated and old and are rather small compared to the size of the gym.  But I was told last night that they are in the works to change/update them  so when that happens it will definitely be a 5 star gym

Best gym, best quality of service, great pool, sauna and hot tub,...overall awesome experience every time!
