I went here for my 22 birthday years ago with my cousin and her husband, they stayed in the suite up top and I in the tower. It was wonderful! the owner is so very nice and has awesome history facts. I will be returning :) oh btw it is a Viking Inn.. If you don't know any of the history read up on it before you go.. It is a real experience, like how the actually would have lived

Stayed here on our honeymoon and it was easily one of the most memorable trips we've been on (and we didn't even stay on a weekend with a dinner production). Lodging was very nice. We stayed in the Freya suite and although we had a humorously difficult time turning the shower off (user error) or try the bidet, the accommodations were very nice. The tap beer selection is great (as were the prices) and the food was hands down amazing. If I had more money, I would have bought his sweet looking Viking gear or a helmet (some day...) but I did get an engraved, painted drinking horn with my alma mater's Viking logo on it. As a host, Steinarr is great. He has a wonderful sense of humor and a refreshing outlook on life. Even though we haven't stayed there again (yet), we have still stopped by when driving through town or to say hi to him at the Renaissance Festival.

We stayed a couple of nights, it was great! Who could ask for more, Vikings, Theme, Good food, and Drink. The host was witty and very funny, he helped make our visit relaxing and fun. We would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a totally unique experience!

The place is beautiful. The food as fantastic. The comedy show was good also. 3 of the 4 rooms were very nice. Unfortunately we stayed in the "locker room" very dirty. During our stay we brought it to his attention about the condition of the room. We had to wait to go to bed because he had to wash the sheets that were on the bed. He didn't have a spare set. There were a lot more things wrong with the room. I'm only leaving a review on here because after i left a 1 star review on the Facebook page i started getting private messages from Steinaar calling me a liar. Then he posted on his Facebook wall talking about my bad review. Then i started getting harrassing messages from his Facebook "friends"
