The Breezy Point Resort manages three 18-hole golf courses, which includes the highly-rated Deacon's Point course, the Whitebirch course and the shorter, par-68 Traditional course. The Deacon's Lodge course, rated 4-1/2 stars, is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in Minnesota.

Deacon's Lodge is an attractive, interesting golf course. The fairways and greens are in good shape. The layout is fun. However, it is absurd to pay $112 for a round of golf that takes 5 1/2 hours. At this price, we should have seen a ranger speeding up the pace of play. NOT! We waited ON EVERY HOLE AND ON EVERY SHOT. Also, the sand traps were terrible, rocky and ill-kept. I just played two public courses near Minneapolis that were much better, at 1/3 the price. We will never play Deacon's Lodge again.

The house was big enough for a lot of people and you still had enough space to have your own room

Deacon's Lodge is by far the nicest high end golf course I've ever been to that is open to the public, good food at Palmer' s grill but over priced. Staff are top notch and will be ever curtious to your every need. Now for the course... the most beautiful and scenic course I've ever played, it's a tough course and it's not cheap, I've played plenty of $50 golf but going here for $120 golf is a nice treat occasionally but not for the faint of heart, this course will test your resolve and it is worth the price of admission, bring your camera cause you'll want to remember this place. Best of luck on the course.

The basement was freezing and we couldn't figure out how to warm it up without making the upper floors too hot, other than that it was the perfect size for our family to enjoy.
