My husband and I went to Nolan's to look around. We ended up buying a queen bed. My husband was told it would be delivered on the following Monday between 2 to 8 pm. We called Nolan's with no answer and we were getting worried but when we got home at 9 30 pm, the truck was waiting there looking for our apartment. Apparently they had a lot of deliveries so they were running late. The drivers were very friendly and helpful. I want to make a note that my husband and I are both Indigenous and the organization who referred us there are Indigenous run and we all have had a great experience with Nolan's. Also, the bed we bought, very good quality and very comfy
We purchased our sectional here. They delivered quickly. They where super kind. After a few years there was some issue with sagging and they where quick to send someone to our home to fix the couch. I highly recommend them. We are now shopping for furniture for our new home and will be going back to Nolan’s. :
Wish I could give negative stars. This place is horrible. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. We ordered a sectional in June of 2021. Said it would be there by the time we moved in October guaranteed. Three of four pieces arrived, but they didn't tell us that..until we went to pay..we trusted what they said about it arriving shortly. Waited another 6 weeks after that, still nothing. Now it's been 5 months since the order was placed. Had an incomplete sectional and wondered if/when we would ever get the last piece. We started to call the store weekly for updates. Messages are not returned. 9/10 phone calls just aren't asnswered. Finally on the last day, got through and was told very rudely by the owner that he did not have time to help me as he was too busy unloading 3 trucks. My husband works in the area so I asked him to drive by the store. No trucks in the lot. Unless they have the item you want in stock and you can take it home that day, do not buy anything from them. You won't see your items. We ended up having to go straight to Ashley for the last piece, which we literally were able to buy THAT day. I won't give this company another cent. Avoid like the plague. Owner is a con. Husband went to cancel the order for the last piece, since we hadn't paid for it yet and the owner tries to make him feel bad with a sob story. Not gonna work. Will never go there again.
You lose many customers,It seems to me that you do not have a website, Websites are an important way to showcase your products & bring in more customers and ultimately higher profits,I can do whatever it takes if you want.
This is the worst place to shop. The owner is a con artist. When you are shopping there he tells you everything you want to hear but does not actually do as he says. As soon as you purchase anything the service is terrible. I bought a sofa & chair for $1500.00. The day after I had it I called the store because one side if it was sagging. He sent a service man who said we needed a new cushion. They ordered one but it took a month or two to come in. Then after another month that cushion was sagging. Also I moved a cushion to vacuum and my knuckle was scraped by a nail sticking out. So there’s a nail hole in the fabric. Also the cushions zipper broke and the sewing on the zipper came undone so it’s ripped there. When I told Nolan about the nail he had the nerve to say you should not put your hand where it doesn’t belong. Once I pay for something I can put my hand anywhere I want. What you never supposed to vacuum? After he had my money he never returned calls or came to the phone. I was told by Nolan that I have a 1 year warranty from Ashley furniture but when I contacted Ashley furniture they said their warranty is void because Nolan purchased it from them so he needs to honour the warranty but he will not. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THERE AGAIN!! It is a waste of money. This is the worst store I have ever bought any thing from.
If I could give less than 1 star, I would. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST Ordered a bedroom set as a gift and paid a deposit. It was supposed to arrive in a few weeks. The person receiving this bedroom set was going on holidays. Called Nolan several times He was either busy or with a customer or on holidays or receiving a shipment and he was to call me back. Left so many message and no one returned my call. Went there in person and was told he is on holidays. I called when he was back and explained the person the gift is for is leaving and I won't be able to get into their home once they leave. He said I will call you back. NO CALL BACK. I called and left a message to cancel the order as the person will be leaving on their holiday in a day. Well......no call back.....3 weeks later he calls and says the product is here..I told him I left a message and canceled the order. He said ok. I said I will come and get my deposit. He said no refunds........ seriously, you didn't provide the product in time. Why do I have to lose out for your lack of professionalism.
A bad business to stay away from. Bad business practises, unprofessional, and they don't treat native people like people. If something is not right with your order. They have a take or leave it attitude with no refunds. I don't even want to take a free pallet for firewood from them. Stay away from this business.
Great customer service Nolan and his associates attended to all my needs. the owner was such a nice guy. I Went here with my mom she helped me with the purchase of a beautiful sectional and allowed me to have a layaway, salesman gave me a deal! Knock off $200! came back on child tax to pay the rest off, I told him someone had shared on facebook about a bad review. Got concerned. I realized who wrote and new this person was just deframing him as a racist, I my self am a First Nation person, I had no such impression of that when I met him. As a matter of fact. he has done business with one of my relatives who happens to be a Chief. This review was disturbing, but thanks to some investigating I found out that these people has some serious flaws.
BUYER BEWARE: As of today a formal complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Office. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS! This Friday will mark 8 weeks that I have been waiting for the sectional I wanted to purchase. My wife and I left a $500.00 deposit with the assurance that our sectional would arrive no more than 2-3 weeks. When that time came we called, we were told that we needed to be patient and that it would arrive soon. 2 weeks later we were told that they would need to re-order another piece of the sectional which didn't arrive with the shipment. I was understanding of the situation and asked that they keep me informed as to what was happening with the status of the delivery. I was told that they would email me the details later in the week. No email was received. I called, but they conveniently never picked up the phone. My wife visited the store today to request our deposit back as they were no longer interested in communicating with us. The owner Nolan, was unprofessional and refused to speak to my wife. I called and he was unprofessional and unwilling to listen to me as well. The owner blamed Ashley Furniture and said it was their fault for not shipping the proper pieces. I told the owner that I dealt with Nolan's Furniture and not Ashley Furniture. Again, Nolan the owner, refused to accept his responsibility in the matter. If you don't want to get ripped off like I did, DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS! I am hoping that my story will have a happy ending as the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Protection Office are now handling the situation.
My girlfriend and I went to Nolan's yesterday and the salesman was really nice and helpful! After we found the bedroom suite we wanted he went on the Ashley website to show us their "sale" price.... Needless to say he saved us quite a bit! Since we got such a good price on what we wanted we decided to also purchase a coffee table and end tables which we also saved quite a bit on! We were told 4-6 weeks for delivery which is quite a wait but for what we saved its well worth the wait!
