Nizzy's Cafe And Catering

I’ve noticed the signs for Nizzy’s Cafe in the past… mainly when I head further down Byrne Road to get to Fraser Park Restaurant. Located in one of the many business parks in the area, parking can be a bit of an issue as they only have a couple of spots and the street parking fills up quickly from all of the local businesses. I was a bit surprised at how much seating they had available here because they never looked very busy on my prior visits. I’m assuming they must do a bunch of catering and they probably have steady business from the local tenants. On my first visit, I ordered their Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries, which is made-to-order. It was pretty good but super greasy… kind of reminded me of a burger that you’d get at a backyard bbq. The fries had the slightest crispness on the outside but still soft on the inside. On my revisit, I had their daily special $8.98 which was Lasagna with a choice of sides I opted for the peas and carrots. Again, nothing really special here… seemed very much like home-cooking. It was a good portion size and it had a nice cheesy top layer to it but the meat could have used a bit more seasoning. They have rotating daily specials here, so it’s not a bad option if you find yourself in the area looking for some home-style cooking.

Nizzy's Cafe is located within the Byrne Road office complex across the street from Market Crossing. With my office being near by, Nizzy's Cafe has become a go spot to grab breakfast try the Denver wrap! and lunch they cook some of the best chicken in town. The food is tasty, and the owner is a delight to chat with. They also offers catering which we have ordered a few times for our office and the process was seamless and stress-free. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

Best breakfast and lunch place in town!! Nizzy's Cafe is the best breakfast/lunch place in town ! We just moved in to this neighborhood last week and Nizzy is our next door friendly kitchen. The roast beef for lunch was super yummy also my flavor grill cheese for breakfast is awesome! Place is cozy and clean, also have outdoor sitting you can enjoy it. I will recommend all of you near by come to visit Nizzy's Cafe

Both times I've been here I was so impressed, the owner is as sweet as can be & the food is delicious! I had wanted a beef dip sandwich, but he didn't have it but he said I have roast beef I can make you a nice sandwich, he wasn't kidding, it came on a panini like bun he added red peppers & veggies, a delicious sauce and grilled it up, it was so good I was happy to not have beef dip. The other time I had bacon & eggs that were cooked to perfection & came with super tasty hash-browns. You can't go wrong when you go to Nizzy's & you help support a local business! I will make an effort to go here more often! Hope you enjoy this little place as much as I do!

Cute, delicious lunch place with charming local feel. Several signature classic sandwiches to choose from and a daily hot dish. Today's beef stroganoff warmed my insides from the the sample bite. The owner is adorable and had the most wonderful suggestion when I hesitated between rice and mashed potatoes as the base to the daily special, "half and half?" he said. I shamelessly ordered double carbs because after all, it was chef recommended ; Eat a yummy lunch and support this local guy.

If you want delicious, home-cooked meals, at reasonable prices in a quiet, cafe environment, with friendly customer service, then you must go to Nizzy's Cafe in South Burnaby. I have been coming here for years since beginning my job in the Glenlyon Business park. There isn't anything on the menu that I don't like -- honestly! My favorite wrap is the Santa Fe Chicken. My favorite sandwich is the Turkey Cranberry. His "Hot Lunch" menu is always delicious: roasted chicken, cordon bleu chicken, salsbury steak, lasagna, lemon-grass fish, beef curry, stir-fries -- all with sides of either rice, mashed potatoes, and veggies. His sirloin burgers are always juicy and tasty. FIsh and chips are perfectly battered and crispy on the outside, cooked to perfection on the inside. And the other reviewer who mentioned his Roast Beef? Not a word of a lie - it is AWESOME! SO tender and thinly sliced with gravy -- definitely a local favorite! But the best part about Nizzy's Cafe is Nizzy himself: He is a total sweetheart. If you're looking for something that's not on his menu, let him know, and he will do his best to create your meal. Right now I am restricting my carbs, so he always gives me the Hot Lunch item with a salad on the side. One day I walked in there and saw a new item on the Hot Lunch menu: Chicken Adobo Filipino people will know what I'm talking about. Why this new dish? Because two ladies who are regulars and work around the corner from Nizzy gave him their recipe -- and the next day he made it. It was delicious!!! That's just the kind of guy Nizzy is. You have to come here, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Friendly staff and great food. The chicken burger was amazing from the juicy chicken breast to the brioche style bun. Come support your local business!

Gourmet food. Excellent service. Friendly owner and staff. I work close by and Nizzy's is my top favourite source for lunch. The food is delicious and varies every day, they also make amazing burgers and quesadillas.

This restaurant is closed. The sign on the door says she sold in 2021. There is no indication of any activity. Don't waste your gas.
