Nite Hawk Cafe

I prefer Meteor Mike's, but this place is good if the MM line is too long. That said, there is a sit down part of the restaurant (I've only been to the take out windows), so if that's what you're looking for this is a better choice. But hey, it's still great! West Hawk is small enough for you to try all of the restaurants.

We went in with a big group (65 people). The staff was very friendly and attentive, the food was all out at relatively quickly and at the same time, it was hot and well prepared. I'd certainly go back and try some other menu offerings. The only challenge was the single washrooms that slowed down our exit (which wouldn't be an issue for smaller parties).

We loved the food at this place! Huge portions, and so delicious! Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Try the Big Kahuna burger... it's fantastic!

Server was moderately pleasant, although she almost seemed annoyed at times that we were there. It was not really busy at all and there seemed to be more than adequate amount of staff working. There was no soap in the men's washroom and still none an hour later even though we asked for soap initially (when we asked again, she said she didn't know how to refill the soap. Ummmm ask someone else then??) Food was mediocre this time (usually it's great!). Caesar drink was fantastic, although they charge $6 for a Caesar regardless of whether it includes vodka or not (doesn't sound right). They are known for their pizzas, yet their pizza oven wasn't working that night, and they still left it as a special on the board noting that pizzas were $2 off??? Waitress left our dirty plates on the table for over half an hour - and she was nowhere to be found. Not a great experience by any means. Maybe give it a one more try next year on our annual fishing/golf trip. Patrick
