Favorite spot to eat in PEI hands down. Had a six-day-long vacation on the island and ate lunch there for half of those days. Could never get enough of the garlic fingers and fries The Shirley Temples are a must have from the non-alcoholic drink menu. They serve alcohol too Sitting booths here were adorable. Tons of real plants for decoration that are labeled with their own 'names'. One of the most unique things about this place is the video games available to play at the booths. Amazing idea. Would recommend to anyone eating out in PEI.
We had friendly staff and I really liked the decor. It's neat that they have the video game aspect. We ordered cheeseburgers- I definitely anticipated something a little bigger but the quality was there! Great beef, tasty overall.
The staff were friendly and courteous, and their crispy fries were delicious. My friend asked me to share my fries and in return I got a helping of kettle cooked chips, and they are super thin crisp bit of potato that are lovely, but if I ordered again it would be the fries again. He had the Nimrods burger and I ordered the brisket. The meat is brined and cured before they smoke it, so you are really getting some lovely smoked corned beef, with a lovely bit of light smoke flavour all the way through it, and my portion had a wee bit of fat on the edge which is common to brisket and absolute loaded with flavour. It’s similar to Montreal Smoked meat without the spices. The brisket is awesome on its own, and I thought the coleslaw or sauerkraut or pickled cabbage they served on it a bit much but in fairness I prefer my slaw on the side and never on a burger or sandwich. Their mayonnaise was good and complimented both the meat and the cabbage nicely. My perfect sandwich would have been their wonderfully toasted bread, that brisket, some bold mustard and a slice or two of Swiss or cheddar cheese. That corned smoked brisket is five star, my personal preference for Cole slaw on the side changed it to a four star. I’ll be back to sample more of the menu. And possibly to see if I can get a brisket sandwich made to order.. Cheers! P.S. Be prepared to wait in the drive thru line, but it’s worth it!
Stumble upon nimrods by Surprise…. Pleased! Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Best service I’ve had in a long time. Loved being able to walk around and look at all the plants. It was adorable that they were all named. Love the wallpaper. If I lived here I would eat here all the time. I will definitely be looking for this place when I come back to the area : You should stop in, play some video games while you wait and be happy the fresh, well cooked food!
Loved it! Food was delicious and reasonably priced, the plants all over were awesome and we enjoyed having the gaming system at the table. Really fun surprise that I was so happy to stumble upon!
We order here every so often, and while it's always good, the lobster roll and potato salad today were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! The club is another favorite.
Fresh ingredients and tasty burgers, I usually order the Vegan Deluxe and it's one of the best burgers I ever had! The staff are really cool, friendly, and know how to make your day.
Tried it twice. First time the fries were cold and the burger skinny. I love brisket sandwiches so went back the second time to try it out. The brisket was almost black from soaking in some foul sauce or other and not fit to eat. Never again.
Holy amazeballs! I usually don't post reviews, but feel compelled to do so for this place. I have the smoked meat fries. Fries are the crispiest and greasiest :- that I've ever had. Delicious. Seriously one of the best things I've eaten on the island. Quick, and service from a sweet, happy person. Will definitely be back!
We just went thru drive thru, paid $28.00 for 2 burgers and onion rings. It was quite obvious that whoever was cooking didn't care what they were serving. It was very disappointing. I can't imagine going back after that.
