Nez Perce Natl Historic Park

Pictures don’t do it justice!! You have to go explore this in person. Also, I saw on google that there are so many hot springs around here. Definitely going back soon to spend more time!! I kid you not, SO BREATHTAKING!!!

The visitor center staff was very friendly and informative. The movie is worth watching. We drove the upper loop of the park and though the scenery was beautiful, there is not a lot to see.

This scenic location is worth a stop. Chief Joseph's resting place is serene and lovely.

Wonderful day with the grandkids

Here lay the bones of Old Chief Joseph on a hill overlooking the lake and mountains. It’s an old cemetery and Chief Joseph’s remains were relocated here after grave robbers disturbed his previous interment. Parking is along the road, mindful not to block the bike path. I was impressed with the translation of his speeches to congressional leaders. Chief Joseph was a great tactician, statesman and eloquent speaker reminiscent of Jefferson and Lincoln. His grave is adorned with offerings.

Nice place to stop and take a short walk. Restrooms: Clean.

Very beautiful place there Is camping and horses rides and lot of other things to do there for your family

Just magical, peaceful and soothing to stand there in the morning and take in the breathtaking view.
