If you like an RV park style of camping, this is not a bad campground. The sites are not too close and the trees are numerous for shade. However, if you like trails and hiking, you will be disappointed. The trails are desert sand and scrub, which is not the fault of the campground, of course. The beach is sandy and large, with a nice grassy park adjacent. But there are no piers or docks, so you'll have to walk over a rocky water entrance to get into the water. There is a highway across the river, and traffic noise is constant. That can become white noise after a while, but if the power boats are out, your peace will be destroyed. Powerboats are loud and fast, but serve no other real purpose. And the powerboaters love to run back and forth. Times 100. So if you like a semi suburban camping experience with some water activity and don't mind the possibility of loud boats, it is an okay place to camp. But if you like to hike or mountain bike and want a more peaceful experience, I'd look elsewhere.

The grounds are clean. And the Ranger Jeff keeps it safe and enjoyable for everyone. Plus the gazebos are perfect for parties!

Nice camping strip along the Snake River, has a volleyball net, disk golf course, and several trails to walk or run. Public restrooms and showers are available and a couple cabins for those who don't want to start in a tent. Lost a star for how spread out everything is especially if you get a camping spot on the end.

The beaches are nasty, the park rangers are A holes and most of all it's a pain in the butt to schedule a camp spot. It's $5 per day per vehicle, $24 per day for a camp spot then when you think your done they hit you with a $10 scheduling fee. Oh and if you make a mistake and call back even 5 minutes later to correct it, they charge that $10 fee again. So then after you pay all this money, then some A hole park ranger comes by and tells you your tire is to close to the edge of the pavement and is touching grass, if it happens again he will give you an $80 ticket. Also, I'm an Idaho resident, these fees are even more if your out of state.
