Hi, I Was curious to know if anyone knows how long this store has been there? Also if any residents living in westfiled in early 70s to mid seventies woud know how many "corner stores", or delis were around back then? If anyone knows would you also know store owners name or names, also the name of stores? Looking into some family history my grand father grew up in Westfield ma. I know he owned a store he remarried and I believe wifes name was Stella. Ty , Michael.
Family owned store, small deli, shelves are always stocked. Great breakfast sandwiches, and grinders. Have never been dissatisfied with anything.
I don’t understand why everyone is hating on the new owners. Food is just as good as it was before them, the staff is always nice and the only reason prices go up is because of the economy. I’ve never had a problem since the new owners took over and my family and I have since enjoyed their grinders as well as the portions. It has always been my favorite place to get a grinder and always will be!
New owners. No hot grinders after 7:30pm and they close at 9pm now. Went to buy a bottle of wine, no prices on any of them, you have to look at the cash out counter. Meat portion on grinders is less. I want Laura back. I have frequented my corner store for 33 years and I'm not happy. I don't like to leave neg feedback but I was told nothing would change and it certainly has.
NEW OWNERS do NOT get deli here use to be the best but I went there and ordered what I usually do on my grinder and he puts onions on it I never said onions so I go back tell him nicely like I'm sorry I can't eat this onions r on it so there was another customer in there and he tried arguing with me saying it's my fault which it was not so he did remake my grinder now as I'm watching him he tried taking the meat off of the mistake grinder to use on the new one like what!??? If I wanted the taste of onions I wouldn't have come back for a new one what would be the point? So I said umm excuse no sir don't do that I can't eat onions and all he cared was the cost of the meat and to have to slice more I'm sorry I usually am a reasonable person but for anyone else that he could have done that to for any reason of being allergic or any sort is not okay in food service.
Has new owners now so things are different a gallon of 1% milk is almost 4$!!! I can go to walmart and get it for 1.25$ in chicopee. She said it's because it's the good brand yet other store have the good brand for 2.99$. They upped the price on a lot of things. The workers I really liked dont seem to work there anymore. I used to really love this store and now not so much it's better then jjs variety by a tiny bit which I'm sure jjs will end up being the better corner store because it has a new manager who is an amazing person and does an amazing job. New corner better up their game and lower their prices back to normal
Normally I love New corner. Has been my go to store for years but very disappointed when I go there at 9:10 and I'm told while standing at the deli to order a cup of ice cream, "oh a...we are completely closed" Why keep your doors open if you will not serve your customers.
Best turkey grinders I’ve ever had. Have been going there for 25 years!
Loooove the grinders their grinder rolls are the best and they get them from VENETIAN BAKERY in west springfield ma...i love the people there they actually care
I love their grinders. Buffalo Turkey is my go to for cold grinder. Chicken cutlet for hot.
