The person assisting us was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and patient as we looked for, and found a supportive but nice looking pair of shoes that were appropriate for use with the custom orthotic inserts my wife was having made. With the help of New Balance Staff. We made the perfect choice. The shoes and inserts are working together very well to make a significant difference in both comfort and achievable distance. We went in with some very specific requests. Giles took the time to do a proper assessment and bring out lots of options. He was quick to look into all of the options available including ordering in what I was hoping for, as well as letting me know what was and wasn't made in terms of the qualities/fit I was looking for. Great store! Wide selection, good prices and friendly. They were willing to help a "big" guy when their neighbors were not and made a sale in the process. Ps. They carry up to size 17!

I swear by New Balance shoes for my running and walking, but today I was looking for a solution for my mom who has significant arthritis. Anne at New Balance is AMAZING and was so helpful and knowledgeable - and took the time to find just the right one. Nicole at the NEW BALANCE store in Nanaimo provided me with exceptional service today. Her skill and patience in finding the right hiking shoes for my very wide and arthritic feet was very much appreciated. So invested was she in finding the right trail shoes for me, I then spontaneously decided to buy a pair of running shoes as well. A very rare successful shoe shopping experience for me…ever!!! The service in store is excellent and quality of the shoes is as well. A great store for full time runners. Most shoes with some exceptions are in the 150 to 200 range so not for everyone's budget

I went in a few weeks ago looking for new multi purpose training shoes, and had been having significant pain in my calves from wearing the wrong shoes previously. I was helped by Lynn who was amazing! Knowledgeable and friendly, she took the time to go over all the options and different features to ensure I got the right shoes. I've been training in them for a few weeks and have had ZERO calf pain since!! Highly recommend!
